- How to Install Pypes Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust on your Ford Mustang
Hey everybody, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my quick breakdown and sound clips of the Pypes Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust system available for your 2015 Mustang GT.So the Pype-Bomb is a system that Pypes developed a few years ago to be a very budget friendly axle-back that will live up to the name of Pype-Bomb and give you that very aggressive tone that most of us Mustang owners are after. Now the system was such a hit that they pretty much developed a kit for every generation Mustang and now it's available for your 2015 Mustang. As you all just heard, this thing definitely delivers that super aggressive tone and for a price that might just be one of the most affordable here with the new 2015 Mustangs. Now as I did mention earlier, this thing has been very popular with previous generations. In fact, you can check out over 100-plus reviews for the S197 Coyote crowd to hear what this thing might sound like on your own Coyote Mustang.Pypes stuck with the same formula here for the new 2015 axle-back and this includes full stainless steel construction, the two and a half inch mandrel bent tubing, and of course these massive four inch resonated tips, the calling card of any Pybe-Bomb system. It is worth mentioning, guys, that even though I do have the polished version here with me today in this video, Pypes does offer the same exact axle-back but in an anodized black finish if you're after that stealthy look. You guys should all know the deal by now when it comes to 2015 axle-back installs. Yes, you do have to cut, but it's a lot easier than you might think. Now do yourself a favor. Get a fresh sawzall blade before getting started. Of course, wear your eye protection. Measure twice and cut once. And you should be making some noise in less than an hour from start to finish.Either way, guys, if you do need any help whatsoever, you can always give us a call here at AM. One of our Mustang experts will be more than happy to help you out. So, if you guys are looking to crank up the volume on that new Coyote powered GT and you don't wanna spend a ton of dough in the process, then be sure to check out the always popular Pype-Bomb Axle-Back from Pypes right here at americanmuscle.com.

Nice deep growl, excellent throttle response. We all definitely love it. Not to graspy like so many systems. Not to loud to aggravate you on long rides. When you hit it, it sounds great with great sound and improved throttle response.Helpful (0)

5 stars all around!
Pypes did a heck of a job with these in terms of design, function, fit, etc... They are loud when you stomp on it, moderate when kinda getting on it, and throaty while at idle without being overly loud. Minor cabin drone, but that's to be expected. Great instructions, I had mine tacked in as well as the bolts just in case and to eliminate any possible rattling that could occur from loosening over time.Helpful (0)

Great upgrade for my 15 Mustang GT. Great muscle car sound, not for anyone that doesn't want to get noticed.Helpful (1)

Loud enough? No worries!
Just had these fitted to my GT soft top and I wondered if they would make much of a difference without also fitting an x pipe. I'm actually amazed at how loud they are, I just hope that my neighbours don't mind! Tbh there's a bit more cabin noise/drone than I'd hoped for, but hey that's a small price to pay.Helpful (5)

Very loud and very fun
I bought this after previously installing an h-pipe and these Pypes make the car scream. It is a volume that many people may not enjoy but I have a ton of fun with it every day. The axle back takes out a lot of the rasp but does drone quite a bit in my setup. Overall I love it and would definitely recommend this product.Helpful (3)

Will these fit under a GT convertible and what about the drone?
the Pypes Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust does fit GT convertible models. There will be cabin drone from this exhaust.
I just bought a V6 mustang fastback and I really want to get some affordable and nice sounding mufflers like these. will these by any chance at all fit my Stang??
This Axle-Back exhaust system is specifically designed to fit 2015-2017 GT Mustangs only and will not work on the V6 models.
Are these 50 state emissions legal?
Hello! These will be 50 state legal, All axles-backs will not be affected by smog or CARB regulations. However you will want to check your local or state laws for decibel rating on this exhaust.
Is there any possible way you can put these on a 2016 v6 anyway at all?
These will not fit a V6 Mustang as the V6 models will have an exhaust that is built differently than those found on the GT model Mustangs.
I am concerned about the drone most after market muffler/pipes make at a particular speed. Especially when cruising at highway speed. Can someone answer me on this?
I have these on my 2012 GT. Supposedly it's the same setup as the S550's so I'm guessing my answer should cover these too. As for drone they do drone a bit around 80 mph steady in 6th gear. Lower speed drone is nowhere near as bad though. They do however have a lot of rasp and in time (mine have been on for 2 years) develop pops during deceleration, but if your like me that's the best part of owning them :D
