Hey, guys. Today we'll be looking at the Turbosmart 10 PSI IWG75 Internal Wastegate for 2015 and newer EcoBoost Mustangs. The turbo on the EcoBoost has an internal wastegate or actuator. And Turbosmart is offering this as a replacement upgrade wastegate.Swapping out your factory wastegate for this Turbosmart one can really change the drivability of the car. It also opens you up for future modding and for more boost. The spring that comes in this wastegate is a 10 PSI spring. But Turbosmart does offer springs that range from 3 PSI to 26 PSI. So, this wastegate can grow with you as you mod your EcoBoost. This wastegate is gonna be a good option for anyone looking to get a little bit more performance and some improved drivability out of their EcoBoost with minimum work. A tune is required with this. It costs about $150. I'm gonna call the install a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. This is a 10 PSI internal wastegate, which means it'll hold 10 PSI of exhaust pressure. And Turbosmart talks a lot about how this wastegate creates a flatter boost curve that will come on sooner with more stable boost and less drop-off at the end of the rev range when you compare it to the performance of the stock wastegate. That means less turbo lag, more consistent boost throughout the RPM range and no drop-off in the upper RPMs. Ultimately, that means a car that'll build boost fast and maintain boost well. You'll have a better drivability and a smooth boost delivery. This wastegate or actuator is ideal for modified or tuned vehicles. You'll need a tune to install this, anyway. And you can expect an increase of 1 PSI to 2 PSI of peak boost. But your real gains are going to be in the mid-range since you'll be hitting boost faster and holding it in a more consistent manner. This actuator is more heavy duty and performance-oriented than the factory wastegate is. It's made from high-grade billet aluminum and it has stainless steel rods and connecting clevis for corrosion resistance. Has a silicone diaphragm with Nomex reinforcement to withstand high temps and a locking collar cap that will let you change out the springs quickly and easily. And because you can change those springs out easily, this wastegate can be used for a wide range of boost levels. Turbosmart offer springs from 3 PSI to 26 PSI which you can pick up separately. Once again, I'll call the install for this a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. That'll wrap up this video. But keep in mind, you can always check this wastegate out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

Great mod to consider when preparing to custom tune your ecoboost. Easy install, took about 1 hour, just need to man-handle the heat shield.Helpful (1)

I installed this part as my last bolt on after tune, intercooler, piping, and downpipe because I wasn't sure it was even necessary. I was wrong, should've done it first. I am blown away by the improvement. I am very impressed by the boost gains which start just off idle.Helpful (0)

Shipped quickly. Does require tune! and I'm not talking about a cobb ap ots tune. You will need protune. Installation wasn't bad you have to bend the heat shield sufficiently to install but it bends back to normal due to its flexibility.Helpful (0)

I should have done this first, the difference in acceleration is freaking awesome. Yes the firewall is a pain in Tha a#and, and make sure that you don't loose the clip like I did, and go ahead and lift the car and remove the tire so you can get the bottom T-bolt without stripping it, trust me just do it.Helpful (6)

When installing the Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate, you should adjust the waste gate to have 2mm of preload. Detailed instructions can be found here:https://system.na3.netsuite.com/core/media/media.nl?id=266715&c=830533&h=a77443b763a5b6011c7b&_xt=.pdf&whence=
Can I install this wastegate if I already have a atmosphere dual port blow off valve?
This can be installed with a BOV yes.
will this wastegate work with the ford performance calibration?
Is the software for tuning included?
I’ve read multiple questions asking if the watergate requires a tune or not. Half and said yes while the other half had said no? Is there a clear cut answer?
We have not yet tested this to confirm fitment with the Mishimoto Intercooler and charge pipes at this point in time.
You would not need to purchase the boost controller, however, we would recommend a tune when installing this wastegate to ensure it does work properly with your Mustang. The boost controller would allow you to dial in yourboost settings instead of adjusting the wastegate itself.
The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate will pass most emissions tests, however as these vary from state to state, we cannot confirm for every state. Currently we do know this will not pass in California, or states which have adopted California Emissions standards.
This Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate can hold up to 10PSI of exhaust pressure compared to the 7PSI unit and therefore can hold more boost before opening. Both units can be adjusted so the unit best for your application will vary for what you are looking for out of your Mustang. We would highly recommend speaking to your tuner regarding your specific application and your vehicles future goals.
The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate can be used with the Ford Performance tune.
Thank you for your question, we would love to help you out! Please contact us https://www.americanmuscle.com/contact.html . This way we can get all the specifics of your build and help you order it!
Yes, this turbosmart wastegate is plug an play application with the added benefit of adjustability with the use of higher pressure rated springs. No manual tuning should need to be done for proper installation of this internal wastegate.
We recommend contacting your local ford dealership before installing performance parts of any sort on a newer vehicle that still has a powertrain warranty. This will ensure that you can safely install parts on your vehicle without voiding a warranty.
The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate will work any blow-off valve as they not dependent on each other. The waste gate will help ensure that the turbocharger does not produce too much boost.
The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate does not come with any vacuum lines. It will either require a factory vacuum line for an aftermarket one. If you are purchasing your own line, you can find them at any local hardware store.
