  • Billet Aluminum Construction

Improves Performance. The Turbosmart 10-PSI Internal Wastegate Actuator for the S550 EcoBoost Mustang controls the flow of exhaust gas to the turbine side of the turbocharger much better, when compared to the stock actuator, which results in a flatter boost curve that comes on sooner with more stable boost and less drop off at the end of the rev range. This creates a more performance oriented car with smoother power delivery and less turbo lag.

Customizable Boost Levels. Turbosmart's Internal Wastegate Actuator can cope with the high stresses and temperatures of high boost applications for prolonged periods of time, and is highly customizable with interchangeable springs for a range of boost levels. Wastegate actuator springs sold separately.

Quality Construction. Constructed from high-grade billet aluminum alloy for durability and strength, this Turbosmart wastegate actuator features stainless steel rods and connecting clevis to help prevent any possible rusting issues. The internal silicone diaphragm is reinforced with Nomex to help withstand high exhaust temperatures.

Application. The Turbosmart 10-PSI IWG75 Internal Wastegate is designed for use on all 2015-2017 EcoBoost Mustang's equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L Inline 4-cylinder engine.

I have a 2017 2.3l ecoboost w/auto trans, Roush CAI, MBRP cat-back race exhaust, SCT 93 tune. I want to install a Turbosmart 1wg75 internal wastegate (#389028), a Steeda throttle body spacer (#387533) and a C L bypass valve adapter (#389868). Are all these parts compatible with what I already have going? I also have a surge in my turbo at lower RPM's, you can really hear it kick in and out. Could this solve that surge? Please respond asap, I need to order this stuff asap....goin on a road trip Aug 10th. Unfortunately not to the mustang rally:(

I have several mods on my ecoboost, is this a plug and play type application or will it need asjusting? I have a bama flash tuner installed currently and can add this to my list of parts, however is that enough, or does it require manual tuning by me or a mechanic? Thank you!

Mason

  • Yes, this turbosmart wastegate is plug an play application with the added benefit of adjustability with the use of higher pressure rated springs. No manual tuning should need to be done for proper installation of this internal wastegate.

Will this void my factory warranty?

ScottK

  • We recommend contacting your local ford dealership before installing performance parts of any sort on a newer vehicle that still has a powertrain warranty. This will ensure that you can safely install parts on your vehicle without voiding a warranty.

Can ypu use this with a turbosmart dual port shortie blow off valve? Not sure if they're even related, but just want to make sure it'll work with my set up.

Windveilstang

I bought one of these used and it doesn't have the line like in the customer picture! Does this normally come with this or does it utilize and existing line? If it comes with this originally how would I go about sourcing one?

Grabberorange07

  • The Turbosmart IWG75 Internal Wastegate does not come with any vacuum lines. It will either require a factory vacuum line for an aftermarket one. If you are purchasing your own line, you can find them at any local hardware store.

So I've seen 2 questions about having a tune, one said you do, other person said you didn't. So do I need one?

RyanO

  • You will not necessarily need a tune for this because you can mechanically or physically adjust this wastegate.

    Money well spent.

Installed this on my 16' Eco with PP and Bama 93R tune. Install was actually easier than I expected but was a bit over a solid hour. Car clearly pulls stronger and "feels" as if it is revving quicker. I think that "feeling" is from the increased pull though. No codes thrown which was a big worry before hand. Performance gain / dollar was well worth it. This is another one of those installs that after you do it you say "Wow! Why didn't I do that before now?!"

    Great Turbosmart Wastegate!!!

Great product and was easy to install!! The performance is awesome and night and day from the stock wastegate!! Holds boost at higher rpms longer. The best part I noticed was in between shifts, manual trans, it had little to no lag when compared to the stock one. Actually helped my 1/4 mile time drop. Really recommend if you are staying with the stock turbo.

    Awaken!

Before The install the car used to run out of breath after 5k rpms, With the new one on the car, it felt a lot healthier at the top end of the rpm band. It pulled way harder than before as well as a better and quicker response from the pedal. Boost came faster.

    a little problem

Installed as per directions car went into over boost using the 2mm guide . Made a call to turbosmart tried reinstalling per instructions from them ,same thing happened. I do have a 93 tune SCT in the car and I think I will need to have a custom tune. It did not say that in any of the information I read before purchase. The part itself is well made and and the sevice from Americanmuscle was great. Not a bad piece once I can get it in sync.

    Good performance gain

Easy to install, only tricky part is the Allen head bolt under the heat shield. Follow the preload instructions and you'll be fine

    Gains!

Very simple to install, was actually able to get the whole job done on my lunch? And there is a night and day difference. It spools up with more ease, and i holds the boost longer. Well worth the price!

    More boost

The installation is fairly simple just 2 upper bolts and a torx bolt under the turbo shield and you can access to the factory actuator, the preload of the new actuator should be 2mm and put all back together and you are done, the results are amazing you can feel boost all the way up not falling at all and gives you 1.5 around more psi which is a lot for a 4 banger that is all ready on 20psi

    Great product

Getting the heat shield off is the longest part of install. Once off the new wastegate is easily installed and looks great. The improved boost curve and reduction in boost spikes is noticeable immediately. Well worth the investment.

    Must have upgrade

Ok this part is well worth the money. Take a little time to install. The cover over the waist gate is a pain. Other than that installs easy, had to look on line to figure out how to tune it. But after it's in and you go for a drive, it's wow. The car has less lagg and more pick up,even at high rpms. Wakes the turbo up a little more, can hear it build pressure as well. You'll get your money's worth out of this upgrade.

    Well worth the money

This exceeded my expectations. I already had other mods but this is like the icing on the cake. It made power delivery smooth and easy without the dropoff at the end as much. From 70 to 100 mph it was quick at half throttle and it felt like there was a lot more left.
