Description
Fatten Up Your Mustangs Power Curve. The Vortech V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger with Charge Cooler - Complete Kit in Satin is a bolt on kit specifically for 4.6L SOHC 2-Valve powered Mustangs that significantly fattens up the power curve. The Vortech centrifugal supercharger boosts your Pony with a 142 horsepower over stock trim and an extra 98 ft/lbs of torque.
V-2 Specifications. Power figures are achieved on low boost, 7.5-8.5 psi, to leave plenty of engine life. The V-2 is capable of a maximum boost level of 26 psi with a max airflow of 1,400 cfm.
Superior Supercharging. This supercharger kit is much more efficient than its root-style counterparts and is quieter under load. The V-2 is kept cool via an air/water dual pass charge system, which cools incoming air, and increases boost. Vortech includes a fuel management system which upgrades the injectors and fuel pump to keep up with the increased air flow.
Modification Friendly. This blower unit also gives you the choice of using the OEM airbox or an aftermarket cold air intake conical style filter. Thanks to high-flow aluminum tubing and stainless-steel construction, this unit is built to last.
Moderately Difficult Installation. Installation of the centrifugal supercharger will take the better part of a day. The mounting brackets, hardware, idlers and drive belt for the V-2 is included in the package. Tools required for the job include: a ratchet set, wrenches and various other hand tools.
Three-Year Powertrain Warranty & Lifetime Structural Warranty. This satin colored Supercharger is offered with an optional 3-year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty and a lifetime warranty covering factory defects.
Application. This complete kit Vortech V-2 Si-Trim Supercharger with Charge Cooler in satin fits all 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GTs.
Technical Note. This Supercharger Kit is designed to be used on stock applications, as Vortech will only provide a tune for the stock motor with stock exhaust or most aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems. If your vehicle is no longer stock and has been upgraded with an aftermarket throttle body, cold air intake, headers, off-road mid-pipe, etc..., Vortech will not be able to provide a tune for your modifications. Modified cars will require custom tuning. Also vehicles with ECU codes of RKN or MDE will not be supported by Vortech, custom tuning will be required for operation.
