For the 2011 V6 Mustang will the included 12 inch rear o2 sensor extensions be long enough or should I consider buying longer extensions

    Michael

    • When installing the BBK Catted X-Pipe, the factory oxygen sensor harness will be able to reach the O2 bung if you are able to remove the wiring harness clips that are located by the transmission. Or you can use the supplied rear oxygen sensor extensions.

Can this mid pipe be used with the borla LT headers? I understand the borla comes with the off road x pipe but I'd like to keep the decibels down a little.

    TonyG

    • When doing long tube headers you will need to match the same brand header as mid-pipe for proper fitment. We would not be able to confirm the fitment of the BBK Catted X-Pipe with the Borla long tube headers.

Will the bbk catted X mid pipe fit on my 2017 3.7 mustang along with the bbk ceramic long tube headers?

    GerardoG

    • The BBK catted x-pipe for 11-14 V6 will not work for your 2017. You would want to use the BBK Shorty Catted H-pipe for the 15-17 V6 linked below. You will also need the O2 extension kit for 15-17 V6, also linked below. Very Happy

The x-pipe really opens the exhaust up. Even though it is the catted version it still gives a deep tone and growl that the car did not have before.

      LOUD

I have a 2012 V6 mustang with BBK shorty headers, Borla S types , and I bought the carted X pipe to complete the exhaust. All I can say is wow ... Who ever is behind you when you hit > 3000 RPM is gonna either love or hate you. This set up sounds amazing at idle and up to 2800 rpm. Sounds almost v8 like . However , 3000 and beyond it is raspy and loud like a screaming banchee. I have an automatic , so I can kind of get away with it , bit I plan on seeking out resonators before the borlas to cut down on some rasp. The install took around 2.5 hours , but I was under jack stands . Word of caution , the stock exhaust mid pipe weighs a lot ! I managed to take it out and install the BBKs myself , but a buddy would help a lot

      Wow

I installed these with the bbk long tube headers and borla axlebacks and all I can say is wow! These woke up my car I noticed a difference in hp and torque once paired with a Bama tune but beware this is LOUD! Under 3500rpms it has an aggressive tone but at WOT it screams and you can hear it a mile away but over all it's a great product and I recommend it!

Sounds nice and HP gains but....

All around disappointed with the BBK long tube headers and the catted x-pipe... Ever since having them installed my car has not ran good. And yes, I did get a tune from BAMA, and yes I did data log with them before assuming that's why... Found today that all the extension connections from BBK had water inside them from when I drove in the rain... The gaskets on the extension connections are not water proof at all... The water in the plug was causing me to get multiple DTC directly relating to the O2 sensor circuit. I.E. My car cannot read air-fuel ratio properly... I.E. Car not happy... Wish I had done Short Headers and aftermarket mid pipe instead.... Would've been cheaper too. The set up sounds AMAZING, and is very loud. I also can really fill the HP and Torque gains... But not worth having my car not run good. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy

      V6 to V8 sound.

I wasn't sure which to get; catless or catted? But I decided catted was the way to go and wow I am glad that is what I chose. It is the perfect volume and really loud when I want it to be. Paired with my longtubes and Borla Stingers, my car sounds great. After only a week, I have had 2 people mistake my car for a 5.0 because of the sound. GET THIS.

2014 stang easy install highly recommend

Installed bbk long tube headers have stock axle back and Airaid intake with tune.Took me only 6 hours removing the stock parts are the hardest part WD40 helps. After that it was simple I used jack stands recommend a lift but it can be done on jacks. Only problem was a small leak out of one of the welds by the cats easy fix I'm sure they would have replaced. Instantly feel the gains while driving make a nice deep sound when u punch it that not to loud.

      2013 V6 Exhaust upgrade

This item was installed on a 2013 V6 Convertible with BBK lontube ceramic headers. The shop installed price included increasing and bending a 2.5" over axle tube and installing V8 Mufflers off my 2012 GTCS. The combination makes this V6 sound like a V8 and there is a night and day difference in the before and after sound. Video of before and after uploaded.

      WIN EVERYWHERE

I installed these with the BBK Chome Long tube headers, and let me just tell you that the videos on YouTube do no justice... these bad boys are insane. At first they were a little raspy, but now that they have broken in, they sound gorgeous. I've actually gotten a few people mistake, thinking that I have a V8. HA! You're wrong, I have something better... a V6 with a beautiful exhaust! As for power gains, I know their is a big difference with just cat backs and headers/xpipe/catback with a tune. It seems to have more power at the top end. I could go on and on about how much I love them, try them out for yourself and then you'll be thanking me. I GUARANTEE that you wont be disappointed. Also, if you are trying to decide weather to get the catted or catless like I was, I'd go catted. Even though they give you less hp, they wont make you sound like a swarm of angry bumblebees... And last but not least, in my opinion, I sound better then most V8... that's how confident I am about these products.

Installed the BBK LT headers & off-road x-pipe, we'll that was very load for my daily driver, so had to get the catted version , just put it on and man what a difference . This is a whole lot quieter . Like this much better. I recommend this for your daily driver.

      Didn't Last Long

After less than two years, one of the cats went. Not sure if this is a common issue with BBK, however given the fact that BBK only covers its products under warranty for one year, I wouldn't recommend this.

Exhaust headers and cross over mid pipes

I hired the work done. The mechanic was done in a morning session. He told me everything fit like advertised and he had no problems with installation. Mileage seems to be somewhat better - it helps! - power seems to be somewhat better. The exhaust note is slightly louder and has a rather masculine 'rasp' to it. This is a fairly modest modification. My car is still street legal, yet is my car and not just another off the shelf unit. (Although the 'off the shelf' version was rather nice.) All in all, I'm pleased.

      great sounding xpipe

Paired this catted xpipe with bbk headers and borla atak exhaust on my 2012 mustang v6 auto. It opens up at 2000 rpm then at 3000 and up it sounds real agressive. Its not loud if u have an auot but manaul it will be louder and no drone. My last car was a honda with hks exhaust the drone on that was louder then this car with bigger piping. I wish it was louder at lower rpms but thats just me

      Excellent Exhaust Piece

Installed on my 2011 V6 along with BBK long tube headers and cat back exhaust. This product was very easy to install. Most of time it took to install the X-pipe was spent removing the stock H pipe and exhaust manifold, and then installing the headers. The X-pipe comes with the bolts needed to connect the flanges, takes only a few minutes to bolt on, and uses the stock clamps to connect to the long pipes going back to the mufflers. The O2 sensor extenders are probably the best part of the kit, since they remove the need for any soldering and risking a bad connection. They are a little long so I used zip ties to keep them from dangling below the car. The sound is excellent, and the cats are great if you live in an emissions tested area. To top it all off, these pipes and the headers shed a nice bit of weight off the car.

Long Tube Headers and Catted X-Pipe

Installed both the long tube headers and the catted x pipe on my 2012 V-65. Had a friend help at his shop which was a big help. Having access to a lift instead of using jack stands was a blessing. Old parts came off 1-2-3 and the new parts went on the same way. Counting the time we waited for the motor to cool, and a well deserved break for my friend Willie mid way thru until I pulled out of the shop to drive home was 4 hours. Not bad in my book. Everything fir together like it was supposed to and for my money, I think the car sounds great with the addition of my flowmaster axle-backs installed. Cuddo's to AM and BBK.

      Outstanding

I drive a 2012 Mustang V6. I bought a whole new complete exhaust system which began with the BBK Long Tube Headers, shorty "Catted" X-pipe, and Roush Axleback mufflers. It took about 12 hours to install with the tools that were required along with a floor jack and two jack stands. My father and I did it together. The hardest part was uninstalling the stock manifold, stock downpipe/h-pipe, and stock mufflers. Installing the new Headers, X-Pipe, and Roush mufflers was quite simple....if any man is worth his own salt. I am a novice under the hood of a car but I managed to install the pieces accurately and without problems. BBK also designed O2 sensor extensions so soldering was not necessary. The sound was absolutely throaty, loud, and overall AMAZING. I also have a C&L Cold Air Intake installed from a previous purchase. The last thing I have yet to do is get a Bama tune but otherwise, the engine is powerful, very loud, and just plain awesome. You can tell when a car has more to its exhaust besides just aftermarket mufflers. After about 400 miles the slight raspiness went away and the sound got slightly deeper and less drone occurred. Buy this set up!!! LOUD!! TURNS HEADS!! POSITIVE ATTENTION!!

I ordered these to go with my BBK ceramic long tube headers. Perfect fit and a lot lighter in weight than the factory catted x-pipe. I ordered these and the BBk long tube headers on a Sunday, they arrived on Wed. Couldn't be more happy.
