    More Horsepower and Torque. Improve the performance of your 2011-2014 5.0L Mustang with a set of BBK 304 Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers. These BBK Long Tubes will greatly improve your Mustang's exhaust flow over the restrictive factory manifolds and increase your Pony's horsepower and torque. Significant increases of about 30+ HP have been seen when installed with a matching BBK Shorty X-pipe or Midpipe Adapter.

    Quality Construction. BBK Long Tube Exhaust Headers are manufactured from 1-3/4" CNC mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing for unrestricted airflow. One piece laser cut 3/8" header flanges are featured for added strength, leak-free performance and OEM fit. These headers are completed in a polished finish for good looks and include new gaskets and the necessary hardware for installation.

    Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Handheld Tuner to reprogram the Pony's computer (ECU) for proper operation.

    Application. These BBK 1-3/4" Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers are specifically designed to fit the 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equipped with the Coyote 4 valve 5.0L V8 engine.

    Application Note. BBK Long Tube Headers require the use of a BBK Shorty Midpipe, part# 1655 or 1658, for 2011-2014 GT.These Headers are intended for left hand drive applications only.

    Technical notes. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road use only.

        Can I use these with the Borla ATAK 3” exhaust?

        • The BBK 1-3/4 in. Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers can be used with a Borla ATAK Cat-Back exhaust, but will require the use of an appropriate BBK shorty mid pipe for 11-14 Mustangs, or mid pipe adapters for 15+

        Will these BBK 1-3/4 fit y 2014 Mustang GT? Im seeing other sites with the same headers saying they will not fit.

        • Yes, these headers will fit any 11-17 Mustang GT.

        Can i run these headers with cats and no tune?like if i run them no tune would I destroy my engine ?

        • The BBK 1-3/4 in. Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers for the 11-17 GT Mustang will recommend a tune with the Long tube headers installed. It could cause potential damage after time without a tune. The tune will provide you with maximum performance gains as well for this product as well.

        Which strikes a better balance between heat reduction and corrosion resistance, these? Or the BBK Ceramic coated long tubes?

        • We would go with the ceramic headers. The ceramic will be less prone to heat and will not rust!

            Love the Headers but beware

            I just finished the installation of the BBK stainless long tubes along with the x-pipe with high flow CATs. The fit was perfect but beware of the following: 1) The most disappointment came when I started the car up. The AM websites states the following: "Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Handheld Tuner to reprogram the Pony's computer (ECU) for proper operation." When I started the car it is running so rich that it can't even be driven, Black smoke is pouring out the back and when you lift the gas pedal you get a snap crackle and pop so bad that you think it's about to blow up. Contacted AM to be told that a Tune is not recommended but required. BEWARE, YOU APPEAR TO NEED A TUNE. 2) If you watch the AM video for these it will warn you that it's going to be a job. It will be as you need to rock the engine to get enough clearance to get the old out and new in. For the drivers side you should not need to remove the motor mount from the block but on the passenger side, you need to along with pulling the starter. 3) The flange plate on the x-pipe which connects the x-pipe to the header does not give enough clearance to get a box wrench on the nut. If they extended the flange plate just 1/4" more on either side you would be able to. If you don't have a lift, good luck as I can't imagine doing this without one. The fit however is great. I now need to get the car running to be able to experience it. It sucks that I can't drive it after spending an entire weekend working on it.

            BBK Stainless Long Tube Headers

            My research led me to go with BBK for their reputation for good quality with the sound I wanted. I combined the headers with the BBK catted shorty X-pipe, and with Borla's Type S axle-back. The sound is phenomenal in my humble opinion. You can easily hold a conversation or listen to music when cruising. This combination gives me drone free cruising. When you get on it and the revs go beyond 3000 RPM, the growl is vicious. I had a shop install these who specialize in Mustangs. It took about 6 hours. It is hard to be specific on performance gains because I installed a Steeda CAI along with a Bama tune at the same time. With all of these changes, the car is a different animal. Very quick!
