      Product Information

Features, Description, Reviews, Q&A, Specs & Installation

      • Better Traction, Quicker Launches, Less Wheel Hop
      • On-Car Adjustable
      • Durable 1-5/8" Heavy Wall DOM Tubing
      • Black Hammer-Tone Powder Coat Finish
      • Spiral-Fluted Grease-Able Polyurethane Bushings
      • Fits All 2005-2010 Mustangs

Improves Traction And Handling. Replace your factory upper control arm with a BMR Suspension adjustable rear upper control arm for improved traction, quicker launches, and to eliminate "wheel hop" ensuring you're getting all your ponys to the pavement.

On Car Adjustable. The BMR Suspension S197 Mustang Upper Control Arm is on-car double adjustable allowing you to dial in your suspensions settings "on-the-fly" whether you're at home or at the track.

Polyurethane Bushings. This BMR Adjustable Upper Control Arm uses greaseable spiral fluted polyurethane bushings resulting in great traction during straight-line acceleration and predictable grip during hard cornering.

Tubular Construction. Made in the USA from TIG welded 1-5/8" diameter heavy wall .120 DOM steel tubing for superior strength and rigidity, this BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm is completed in a durable black hammer-tone powdercoat finish for great looks and long life.

Recommended Upgrade. It is highly recommend to upgrade your factory upper control arm mounting bracket to a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount when installing a BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm on a S197 Mustang. Failure to do so may result in a loud clunking noise without the BMR Upper Control Arm Mount installed.

Application. The BMR Suspension Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm with Polyurethane Bushings is designed for all 2005 to 2010 Mustangs including the V6, GT, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500 models.

        Get It

Installation was easy! Installation of the upper control mount was much harder as the gas tank has to be dropped to access. If your lowering your ride and want to do it right, this is a must. Adjustability on this piece makes setting the pinion angle a breeze. Great product for a good price. Thanks AM.

5 2008 Bullitt - DonF Installation Time: Weekend

        BMR Adjustable Upper Control Arm

I just installed the BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm on my 2008 Mustang Bullitt. I installed it at the same time as the Ford Performance Boss 302 lower control arms and relocation brackets. I wanted to get the car's suspension geometry into spec since I'm also running the Ford Performance Adjustable Suspension pack which lowers the car about an inch and a quarter. Installation was not terrible, just time consuming. It took me a full weekend and I was taking my time. The BMR Upper Control Arm is very well constructed. It's heavy and beefy. I purchased it along with a bracket and a poly bushing for the axle side. The rear suspension is now all new. I haven't driven the car much yet, but my initial impressions are positive. It definitely reduced wheel hop and the car hooks much better. I may still need to dial in the pinion angle a bit more, but NVH increase is minimal. All in all I'm a happy customer.

        Excellent upgrade

Definitely an upgrade over stock! 5 stars but be ready to hear the gears whining at highway speeds, much louder with this installed. No biggie though.

5 2009 GT - DaleL Installation Time: Afternoon

        Much Needed Item

Got this to finish up rear end suspension upgrade (replaced LCA's, PH bar, PHB brace w\ all BMR hammertone\red poly parts, sway bar bushings w\ red poly bushings and installed Steeda Frame Rail and Torque Box connectors to stiffen up the LCA front mounts) on my Stang. Installed the BMR UCA mount at the same time. Install was straightforward but time consuming....biggest issue was getting the gas tank to drop down low enough to allow removal of old mount bracket\install of new BMR mount bracket even w\ both straps completely disconnected. Ended up having to remove the Rt side exhaust piping from axleback thru to the M-80 muffler (have Pypes Super Bomb Mid-Muffler catback exhaust installed...gas tank was sitting on the M-80 mufflers w\ over axle piping resting on the BMR PHB brace holding tank...only needed another 1\4" of clearance for bracket to clear unibody....that's how good the Pypes catback setup fits!) to allow the gas tank to drop the additional 1\4" to clear the mounting bracket! Loaded suspension then set pinion angle to -2 (found this was way off prior) so the rear end is now very tight and solid and the power transfer to ground is very crisp and solid w\ no sponginess....big improvement! Love it!

        07 automatic DD

This will help with the rear in traction along with the lower control arms. Solid construction. A bit of a pain in my car. The rear seat needed to be pulled up to get to the uppr mount bolt and the saddle style gas tank straps needed to be loosened up. A local shop did the work for me. They also set the pinion angle to 2 to provide less tire slip. Now i just have to get the rest of my rear end parts. ;) I know AM will be more than happy to send them. The prices on AM is hard to beat. The site is also great to use.

        5 2009 GT500 - Jamie Installation Time: Afternoon

        Good looking part

Bought for my 09 GT500. Had previously put on a control arm with a sphere joint and hated the noise it made. Replaced it with this one and am so much more happier. Good solid part that looks just as good. Needed the adjustable to set my pinion angle. Install is a bit tricky just cause there isn't much room to work in that area.

what differential bearing can I use? will the Steeda spherical one work? does BMR offer one that does not reuse the shell of old bearing? I would rather remove and replace the whole bushing on axle.

      • The BMR Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arm can be used with any upper control arm bushings. BMR does offer a poly bushing for this under the part number EN001 which we do not offer at this time, though this does reuse the OEM bushing shell.
