    Improves Traction And Handling. Replace your stock upper control arm with a BMR Suspension rear upper control arm for improved traction, quicker launches, and to eliminate "wheel hop" ensuring you're getting all your ponys to the pavement.

    Polyurethane Bushings. This BMR Upper Control Arm uses greaseable spiral fluted polyurethane bushings resulting in great traction during straight-line acceleration and predictable grip during hard cornering.

    Tubular Construction. Made in the USA from TIG welded 1-5/8" diameter heavy wall .120 DOM steel tubing for superior strength and rigidity, this BMR Rear Upper Control Arm is completed in a durable black hammer-tone powdercoat finish for great looks and long lasting corrosion resistance.

    Recommended Upgrade. It is highly recommend to upgrade your stock upper control arm mounting bracket to a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount when installing a BMR Rear Upper Control Arm on a S197 Mustang. Failure to do so may result in a loud clunking noise without the BMR Upper Control Arm Mount installed.

    Does the reuse the stock mount ?

    • It is recommended to upgrade the stock mount to the BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Mount, item # 49614, https://www.americanmuscle.com/bmr-uca-mount-0510.html. Otherwise you may experience noise and excess wear to the factory mount.

    2008 Mustang GT. Rear set up: Billstein HD shocks, Ford Lowering P springs, SR Panhard bar. Front: Ford Lowering P springs and Billstein HD struts with Ford Racing GT500 control arms. So it's only slightly lowered, perhaps lowered only 1 inch at most. Question: since these are "not adjustable," can I use with my current set up? Also, do you guys sell the bushing attached to the differential side of rear upper control arm?

    What is the benefit of the adjustable version of this upper controll arm? I've already changed the rear lower control arms with BMR non adjustable ones plus the relocation brackets. The car is lowered 1.5 inches on all four corners. Getting a clunking sound... thanks for any help!

    • With the added help of an adjustable upper control arm, this would help with adjusting the pinion angle in the rear of the car.

    Will this upper control arm fix the clunking noise I get. I have lower arms and had sway bar. It's bad. Thank you

    • Unfortunately since I am unsure of the exact cause of the clunk you are experience in the rear of your Mustang I can not guarantee this will fix the issue at hand. If the upper control arm is hitting or simply allowing to much spring travel in the rear than this would be the perfect solution.

    What type of grease do you use for poly bushings? Does this help to eliminate the clunk noise?

    • I use Royal Purple synthetic grease on my BMR poly bushings.

      BMR Rear Upper Control Arm Rescue

      This upper control arm along with the mount from BMR totally transformed my older ride and was easy to install and I love that it is greaseable.

      Didn't Fit.

      This part did not fit my 2009 GT500. It's lowered a couple inches with coilover suspension, and the mechanic said he'd have had to radically change the pinion angle to make this part work. Further, the bushing did not fit on the diff side, either. I did check with one of the chat staff, who verified this would be the right part, but it wasn't right for my car. That said, it seemed to be well constructed and a quality part, just not the right fit for my car.

      BMR gave me the control I need

      Easy to install, watch the video if you need to. Major difference in the handling, I installed both upper and lower control arms. I no longer have to worry about my car fishtailing or not feeling confident in the rear end. Yes indeed.

      UCA review

      The Rear Upper Control Arm fit well and, although a challenge to install, went in easily enough. There are only two issues I experienced. First there is a bushing pressed into the differential that experiences a LOT OF WEAR and may be torn on your car too, as it was on mine. This arm doesn't come with that bushing and, from the looks of things, would require a special (expensive) Ford tool to remove and replace. Secondarily, to preload the bushings requires the car to be at ride height. The differential is buried in the body (I've only lowered the rear by .75" from stock) and there is no discernible way to get any of my tools on the nuts and bolts. The flag bolt, which works well with the stock arm, has nothing to bind against with this replacement part so a socket or wrench is required. The bolt head is apparently not designed for a socket or wrench as it's VERY shallow and , from my experience, easy to round the corners a bit. All I can say is work slowly, methodically and pay close attention to the install videos online. Good Luck!

      I did this in a driveway and it took almost 4 hours so I would recommend using a lift and a power drill the get bolts in and out faster. Once I got this on I could definitely feel the stiffness in my car. I installed the BMR lower control arms before this and with them together the drive feels way better than it did when it was stock.

      Rear Control Arms

      I installed both upper and lower rear control arms and they fit like a glove. Don't have many miles on them yet, but they do offer a stiffer ride, as stated. This is what I was looking for. Great upgrade from stock. Completely pleased.

      Keep it to the floor!

      Once installed on my GT500 the car felt completely different in a great way. Now at launch there is no wheel hop and the tires just spin like they should with 500 hp. I also installed lower rear control arms for absolutely no wheel hop. A must buy for GT500 owners. *I highly recommend having a lift for this installation.

      I already had upgraded lower control arms on the car so I figured it was time to do the upper. I noticed increased rear end stability and 0 wheelhop during the occasional burnout. Installation was harder than I expected. Since my car is lowered there is even less room to work. I am glad I watched a you tube video first. Happy with the performance

      Can't beat the price

      Installed with the metc mount and the BMR differential bushing, big difference should have came out of the factory like this well worth the price and can't beat the quality, I used the lower hole because of the sport line springs installed, this brought it all together

      Get rid of the stock

      Definitely an upgrade over the stock....really keeps my 07 V6 sturdy in the rear. I bought this with the BMR mount and definitely feel the difference in this rear end package.

      Works great!

      After install car seemed more responsive. The old one was definitely worn out. You could tell after installing this one. You have to pop out the rear seat and loosen the control arm bracket to lower the bracket enough to get the bolt out to free up the control arm. You also have to loosen the other 2 control arm bolts. Luckily I had access to a lift. I would not attempt this in a driveway it woul be a royal PIA.

      Less Rocking

      The installation was pretty simple, involved loosening the Mount by going underneath my backseat in order to get the top bolt off and a bit of rocking the body to get one of the bolts in place. Now when I drive and hit bumps or launch, there is less rocking and more control. Way better than stock.
