Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a closer look at these front and rear caliper covers from MGP fitting all 99-04 V6 and GT Mustangs. Here’s the deal, aftermarket big brake kits are not cheap and fitting your factory calipers can sometimes turn into a disaster if done incorrectly. These covers from MGP are a great way to cover up those factory calipers, while adding a little bit of customization and keeping brake dust off your wheels. The caliper covers are available in your choice of either black or red, and with a number of different logo options. For instance I have here the black GT, the classic running Pony logo in red, the complete Cobra setup in black, and I also have with me the red GT and many more. Taking a closer look at the calipers themselves you’ll notice a high quality T6 aluminum construction, along with that black or red powder coated finish. Finally, the officially licensed logo is engraved right in the center along with some simulated hardware, just for a more realistic look. The install really isn’t all that bad and should take you about an hour from start to finish. You will need to remove your wheels so make sure you have your jack, and you’ll also want to make sure you have a 3/8” wrench handy, just to tighten up the hardware on the covers themselves. Other than that, everything is very straightforward. So if you’re tired of looking at those rusty factory calipers on your ride, and you don’t feel like forking out money for an aftermarket big brake kit, then be sure to check out one of these officially licensed caliper covers from MGP right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Mustang Styling. This set of four Red MGP Caliper Covers are a great way to set off your new rims and they feature modern "Mustang" lettering on the front two covers and the iconic "GT" logo on the rear two. These Officially Licensed MGP Caliper Covers will give any New Edge GT Mustang a big brake race ready look that will turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Mustang Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they also act as a protective dust shield to help keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss look. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install. Sold as a set of four covers.

Application. Designed to fit over factory brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on 1999 to 2004 Mustangs, including the V6 and GT models with 16" or larger wheels. Does not fit Bullitt, Mach 1, or SVT Cobra models.

      Look nice, but steep price

The calipers were very easy to install and look nice on the car, however, the price that is asked for the quality is a little steep. It will require some bending to get the calipers to fit correctly.

      Garbage, please do not buy.

They look good, but are garbage. My mechanic spent considerable time to try and figure out the attachment clips. They rub against caliper and rotor. makes a grinding sound. we had to cut them off the calipers. I need to get these sent back and refund. Sitting in a box at the garage. Absolute garbage.

      So easy

I liked the pictures on AMERICAN MUSCLE so... I'm very happy with the look and ease of installing. I took longer than an hour, I cleaned up the wheels and under the fender. Makes my 2002 GT Convertible look great. Thanks again AM!

      MGP Red Caliper Covers

A great look paired with the gloss black AR wheels I purchase. They definately enhanced the look. They were very easy to install as well, only about forty minutes for me once wheels are removed.

Gives the car a whole new look

These were installed on a 2001 Mustang GT. The front covers went in quick and easy, however the back ones gave us a bit of trouble. The hardware for the rear did not fit correctly and popped out not allowing the cover into position. After hammering down the edge and doing some modifications we were able to finally pull the cover over far enough to fit into place. The end result was not what I was hoping for since you could clearly see the brake pad exposed unlike the front cover which covered the brakes completely. There was no further adjustment we could make to fix this. I figured who is going to look that closely (except me). It did help to scan the QR code on the instructions and watch the how-to video. I have 18" tires with flat five point star spoke pattern rims.

      Extra shine

These caliper covers did not fit that well and I had to make a few modifications to them but after getting them on I was very satisfied. All my friend and people that see them say it bring more life out of the wheels. I would recommend them but be ready to do a few modifications to get the holes to line up.

      Difficult

These took forever to install, I bought the Z26 brake kit along with these covers and it took me and my machanic longer to get these stupid things to fit correctly than it did to put the rotors/pads on the car. Then not even 400 miles later I see that the rear passenger cover fell off! I guess it's just laying on the highway somewhere because the brackets that come with these are terrible, so I called MGP and they said it would cost $75 to replace! For one* cover?! Are you serious? I'm now paying almost $300 for these low quality thin metal covers because they sent me a faulty piece. Never will buy these again
