Description
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. This sensor monitors the temperature of the engine’s coolant to provide precise temperature readings. This information helps the engine control unit optimize fuel injection and ignition timing, ensuring efficient engine performance and protection against overheating.
Construction and Appearance. The sensor features a brass housing that is precision machined to meet or exceed original equipment thermal conductivity standards. Factory-calibrated resistance ensures accurate temperature readings. Thread sealant and/or O-ring is pre-installed on applicable sensors to promote leak-free operation. The sensor uses a square, female connector with two pin terminals for reliable electrical connection.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically does not require drilling, allowing for direct replacement of the existing sensor using standard hand tools within a reasonable timeframe.
Application. This sensor fits the 2008 through 2020 Dodge Challenger models without exclusions.
