Description

The Davies Craig EWP115 Alloy Remote Electric Water Pump; 12-Volt is designed to enhance engine cooling control and capacity for a wide range of vehicles, including small to large, high-performance, and 4WD types. It replaces or supplements mechanical belt-driven pumps by hardwiring into the electrical system, improving engine power output and fuel efficiency while extending engine life.
Construction and Appearance. This pump is constructed from powder-coated aluminium for corrosion resistance and durability, with a ceramic face seal to ensure leak-free operation. Its lightweight design weighs just under 1 kilogram and features a clockwise centrifugal pump mechanism with a volute chamber for efficient fluid flow.
Installation. Installation of the pump is moderately straightforward and typically involves integration into the radiator hose system without the need for complex modifications. When retaining the mechanical pump, drilling small holes in the thermostat plate may be required to allow for coolant circulation.
