Hey, everybody. I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and welcome to my detailed review of the Corsa Sport Catback Exhaust System, available for your 2015 and up Fastback GT.The Corsa Sport Catback is the combination of the Touring Series Axleback here paired with the unique double helix X-pipe from Corsa. Now I'm not going to lie, the Corsa Touring Series Axleback by itself paired up with the factory resonator is pretty mild. But once you remove that resonator and replace it with the double helix X-pipe, the exhaust really comes to life as you guys just heard. In my opinion, it's going to be the perfect middle-of-the road catback. Meaning it's not going to be too aggressive and it's definitely not too mild. These systems aren't exactly cheap. In fact, the Corsa systems are some of the priciest here on the site. But with that in mind, those of you who are prepared to throw down a rather large investment on a quality catback will not be disappointed and here's why. You're getting full 304 grade stainless steel from tip to tip, 3" mandrel-bent tubing, beautiful welds, the included double helix X-pipe of course, and 4-1/2" tips. Polished is going to be your stock option. You can spend a few more dollars and opt for the black chrome, which I have on the table with me here. And last but not least we have the Touring Series mufflers. Now I know what you're thinking: "Touring series? I thought this was a Sport Catback?" Well, here's the deal, guys. Corsa has essentially created four different systems using only two mufflers. You start with the Touring Series muffler here, add in their double helix X-pipes, and you they have the Sport Catback. Start with a slightly more aggressive Sport Axleback, add in that same X-pipe, and now you have the more aggressive extreme cat-back. I know it sounds a little confusing, but you can consider yourself brought up to speed. The mufflers also include Corsa's patented RSC Technology or reflective sound cancellation, which basically means these things are going to offer plenty of bark when you're on the loud pedal but are going to be whisper quiet and drone free when you're cruising on the highway. As you guys just heard, the Corsa definitely delivers some solid tone. It is pretty aggressive. So for that reason we'll call it a four-out-of-five on my one-to-five "I don't want to wake the neighbors" scale. Now my opinion, it is the perfect cat-back. It's not too loud. It's not too quiet. The Corsa Extreme, if you are going to sheer volume, then that is going to be the cat-back for you. This styles it down a notch or two, and again it's just right in the middle. It's not going to be too crazy or obnoxious but it's still going to be heard when you're on the road. All right, guys, we talked about a lot of things so far in this video. Now let's get into the install. One of the nice things about the cat-back systems for the new S550 GTs is they require no cutting for the most part. That's certain true here with the Corsa. This is a direct bolt-on modification, it's an easy one-out-of-three wrenches on my difficulty meter, maybe an hour or two worth of your time when it's all said and done. I will say it's a little easier if you do have an extra set of hands on hand ready to help you out here. But either way, figure some basic hand tools and you'll be making noise in no time. The Corsa Sport is one of my top three favorite catbacks for the new S550 GT and here's why. It offers a tone that's going to be get you heard. It's not going to be obnoxious yet it's still livable even if and when long tube headers do get factored into the equation. If you're cool with selling a kidney to get a top quality premium exhaust system, then you're definitely going to love the Corsa Sport. Available here at AmericanMuscle.com.

I was looking for something that wasn't completely obnoxious since I live in a city, but also roars when i'd like it to with a great note. The Corsa sport hit all of those boxes. The cold start is definitely loud - but it quiets down quickly once in gear. Really loud when you step on it - but tame when cruising around (as advertised). The black tips look amazing too! Highly recommend dropping an extra buck on your beloved mustang for this catback.Helpful (5)

Worth the price!
I was looking for an upgrade from my Magnaflow X Pipe combination due to drone issues. Looked around and saw Corsa had the best reviews in regards to Drone. Couldn't believe how less of a drone there was the first time i drove my GT after the install. It's non existent at any RPM. For that reason alone, its almost worth the money.. Then comes the sound. I have never heard a better sounding exhaust! I was confused between extreme and sport and decided to go with sport as extreme seemed just too loud for a daily driver. This thing is in no way a 'quite' exhaust, just not as loud as extreme. For me this is just perfect loud. It's loud enough at low RPMs and starts to really scream once you floor it. If money isn't an issue, can't think of any reason not to go with this one.Helpful (6)

Found the perfect cat-back
Like everyone else, I watched / istened to every video I could for every brand out there. I decided to go with this one because I wanted the perfect mix of quiet when. I want it (regular driving), and incredible rumble when I get into it. This kit deliveres exactly that. Fit and finish are perfect. They look and sound amazing. No drone and absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend this kit for anyone who wants the best of both worlds.Helpful (8)

This system is truly amazing. It has it all the looks the sound and easy to install. It gives you an iconic mustang sound when your getting on it especially above the 3500-4K rpm mark while keeping the cabin quiet at 2k. If your installing with a jack and jack stands make sure you have a helper though as it can be difficult to get the stock exhaust off with it being all one piece.Helpful (8)

It really does sound just right. Will definitely be heard when you step on the gas but can also be quiet on low rpms. Love the deeper sound like music to my ears. Installation took me about an hour, will help if you have someone to there to help. Very satisfied!Helpful (8)

This was the very first mod on my Mustang GT and probably going to be my most favorite. The install was very straight forward and the sound coming from this system is amazing. It has a low growl when idling or cruising at low RPM's and it really opens when at full WOT.Helpful (10)

Magnificence in Action
There are really no words for the exhaust note of this Corsa after 3,000 RPM other than magnificent. It really does sound like James Earl Jones lives in the exhaust and someone tickled him. Absolutely beautiful growl all the way though the rev range with absolutely NO DRONE, even in the problem area of the rev range around 2,000. Though this is quite expensive, you are getting the gold standard in exhaust systems, I had an issue with drone on another popular axle back but no problems whatsoever here, it just puts a smile on your face and is sure to turn heads and get you thumbs ups at traffic lights (even had a guy ask for a video of me revving it at a gas station). Though i admit the price is on the higher side, the result, including the sublime highway quietness paired with the roar under hard acceleration, its stuff like this that makes you fall in love with the mustang all over again. Had to save for a few months to afford it but this is the real deal, with the right balance that can make this car both a daily driver and a track monster, its just is the best on the market.Helpful (15)

This exhuast is almost perfect. The sound is great the tips look great the drone is non existent. When warm this catback delivers a great note and perfect volume that makes you want to ride with the windows down. The only issue I Have is the cold start up....its LOUD to the point of obnoxious which makes it hard to leave in the morning on days I want to drive it. Whether in the garage or outside its Loud. Overall the catback is the perfect mix of a good note and volume. If I was to daily drive it I would probably get the AWE touring catback to the loud start up Corsa delivers.Helpful (11)

I have no words
I listened to all the video clips, just like everyone else. I had 12 tabs open in my we browser, and each video paused at the exact moment for the close up on the exhaust sound. Too many of them sounded like empty wide open truck exhausts and some had too much snap crackle and pop. This exhaust is exactly as advertised. You can go virtually unnoticed up to 3k RPM's and your neighbors will love you. But once you're on the open road and get on it, everyone within an 15 car radius will know you're there. New England weather just got above 60, so it's windows down everyday to listen to the GT purr.Helpful (11)

Definitely One of the Best
I have had the exhaust for about a year now. I went with the sport because I didn't want the exhaust to be too loud or too soft. I made the right decision by getting the sport cat-back.Helpful (10)
I am stuck between deciding on the corsa sport catback exhaust and the borla sport catback. I want something that has crackle but still throaty and aggressive. Do you think I should go with corsa or borla
This would be up to you as each person has their own preference when it comes to sound. I personally have had Corsa and Borla on my cars before and if it was up to me I would go with Corsa mostly for the no drone feature.
Would I have to get tuned to run this?
A tune is not required to use this exhaust.
Do you have to remove the extra bracing on the convertible. If so does the extra bracing fit after the exhaust is installed?
Unfortunately, this exhaust will require modification to work with the convertible model and the extra bracing underneath due to the 3" tubing. An exhaust shop may be able to get the bracing to fit after installing this exhaust but they would have to modify it to work. You will need a 2.5" exhaust for the convertible model and that will not require any further modification to work with the extra bracing.
Which long tube headers is compatible with this catback, need to buy any adapter?
This corsa has a 2.5" step down so any header combination would work as long as the mid pipe has the necessary flange or adapter(which can be bought or modified very easily) to fit over the 2.5" adapter.
Is there a particular reason as to why this is not compatible with the 2015-2017 V6? I've been unsuccessful in finding an answer. Does Corsa have this exhaust in a V6 version? Please and thank you! :)
This exhaust is specifically designed to be a direct fit for the GT. A V6 has a different engine, transmission and exhaust system as well as suspension. While it might be able to be made to fit, it will need modification. You would be better off buying an exhaust specifically designed for a V6. Corsa may make them for the V6 but we do not offer them.
You would not need to replace the stock headers as long as your purchase long tube headers that have the connection pipe to mate it with the x-pipe.
Not compatible with Convertibles due to different bracing
