I have a four post lift and every video for installation involves a two post lift. Given that the suspension needs to be loaded for a proper swap, can I simply lift my car and conduct the swap without further jacks or support needed?

    Illiniwek

    • Using a 4 post lift you should be able to easily load and unload the suspension for proper installation of the Ford Performance Boss 302R Lower Control Arms without further jacks or supports needed.

Do I need to use relocation brackets with these? I do not plan on lowering the car - I have the regular stock GT springs/struts/shocks. I plan to use these with the FRPP Sway bars and strut tower brace.

    MarkA

    • Hello! The Ford Performance Boss 302R Lower Control Arms do not require the use of relocation brackets. They are a direct replacement for the OEM lower control arms.

I just received mine thanks. Is there a left vs right or are they both the same? Thanks in advance . . .

    CalifBoss302

    • both sides are the same. the difference is the front and rear ends. where one can not mess up. they simply only fit one way.

WORTH THE MONEY!! SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT BEFORE

me and some buddies from my car club that's a sponsored club here at AM put on these along with a BMR non adjustable panhard bar and power stop street warrior brakes on my 05 drop top GT. they were a bit tough to get final fitment but drastically changed the feel the car gives going down the road. it rides so much smoother.

      Lower control arms

Control arms are doing great so far. Solid and straight with no play. These replaced the SR upper and lower arms which failed first time out.

      Boss 302 Lower Control Arms.

These control arms fit perfectly. They installed in less time than it took to jack up the car and put the jack stands under the car. They are lighter than stock parts and look great !! They help with eliminating wheel hop and with handling. Great price too!! Thank you AM !!

      Nice upgrade...

These went on easily. I also installed the FRPP relocation brackets, and an adjustable UCA with a poly bushing. With this combo, there is a slight increase in transmitted road/drivetrain noise (more noticeable when cold), but nothing too loud. Also, wheel hop is nearly eliminated based on cold pavement launch on UHP all-seasons. Also have aluminum DS.

      work great

I was looking finish up my rear suspension mods and lower control arms were the what I needed. I went ford racing because I knew the fit would be perfect and they would work well. Had some trouble getting the old lcas out because the old bushings had worn out and basically rotted around the bolts. Took it to a shop right down the street and they were able to get the old ones out and the knew ones on in about an hour. These lcas work great even with the other modds I've done I can tell a huge difference . The rear stays planted on hard launches and the rear is more stable when taking curves . I would highly recommend the boss 302r lcas.

      Boss 302R control arms

Put these on my 2013 Boss 302 to help reduce the wheel hop. They have eliminated most of the wheel hop without causing any unnecessary harshness. And since it's a Ford Racing part it fit like a smack in the mouth! Nice.

Good control arms with a little bit of noise

Overall these control arms work very well on my 2014 5.0. With the relocation brackets everything lines up very well and the traction is MUCH improved. With that being said there are a few things I wish would change, first thing is the noise, after installing these lower control arms I was impressed with the performance but not impressed with how much noise is made. I don't know why, but when it's cool in the morning and when the exhaust gets good and warm from some highway or spirited driving they make a noticeable (bushing grind/squeak) noise. Also I want to note for everyone that with the relocation brackets these are very low, with about 2 1/2 to 3 inches of clearance from the ground. They do scrap when going through a drive though car wash and on very tall speed bumps not horribly but enough to make you cringe the first time it happens. Overall these control arms work very well.

      Nice product for the money

After 90k of spirited driving I refurbished the entire suspension. Anticipating some track days coming up I used these along with the tubular upper and tubular front control arms from BMR. the ride and handling feel like new again. The car handles great, feels solid and predictable. Definitely increases NVH due to road conditions but it's very tolerable. With my worn set of gears the rear gear noise transferred through the stiff bushings is pretty intense.

      Feel the Difference.

First of all, the speedy delivery from American Muscle blew me away with only 2 days to get to Hawaii. Installation was pretty easy. As far as improving handling goes, the Control Arms definitely help put power to the ground. No wheel hop, just all out roasting tires reminding me to get better tires. I am overall impressed with this installation.

      Great improvement over stock arms

These cars from the factory have a lot of power. One thing they don't have much of is traction. I swapped the stock LCAs for these, with the addition of Whiteline relocating brackets and a 285 Nitto rear tire. Huge improvement in launching the car. Haven't had a chance to throw it in a corner yet, but these are bound to help there too. Fit is great, and they look good too. Very pleased with my purchase. As always, AM is quick to ship! Thanks!!!!

      Boss 302 lower control arms

This was a pretty easy install. It takes more time finding the tools and jacking the car up than it does to install these LCA 's . Fit is good as well as finish. They look great and definitely Stiffened the rear end up combined with the whiteline relocation brackets . Still having problems hooking but I think that's more of a tire issue. Great product!

      Very nice stuff here

Note on three stars for handling improvement- it's just a control arm folks...it's pretty hard to "butt dyno" stuff like this, and even more difficult to review times and note improvements due to one part. That being said- these arms fit perfectly, and the bushings are easily rebuildable, given that they're split and press-in. The arms themselves are VERY light too. Install these with the Ford Racing Boss 302S relocation brackets on a lowered car, and pinion angle will be dead on.

      Hook

I got these LCAs about 6-8 months ago from another vender, and I also got the FRPP relocation brackets to go with them. They really hook up. Just like in the description, "more traction, less hop," and much, much "firmer launches." They are also lighter than the stock LCAs but still hella stout.
