Description
Innovative Fuel Pickup. The Holley Fuel Tank Pickup HYDRAMAT (8X8 CROSS) CENTER OUT - 3/8 IN is engineered to prevent fuel starvation by ensuring consistent fuel delivery during demanding driving conditions such as hard cornering, acceleration, stopping, and inclines. Using advanced surface tension and fluid wicking principles, this HydraMat maintains fuel availability even in low fuel conditions, improving engine performance and reducing stalling risks.
Construction and Appearance. This HydraMat features a beige-colored, patent-pending fuel-wicking media with microscopic pores that act as an internal reservoir, allowing it to draw fuel effectively from nearly any area within the tank. It is designed for durability and chemical compatibility with various fuels, including alcohol, ethanol, methanol, E-85, and 2-cycle oil blends up to 20:1. It is not compatible with diesel or most oils.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling. The mat can be folded and compressed to pass through fuel cell openings. It uses a center outlet fitting designed for universal use, and does not require sealing paste or tape due to its female NPT thread.
Warranty. This product is backed by a manufacturer’s limited 90-day warranty.
Application. This HydraMat is designed specifically to fit flat bottom rectangular style fuel cells with minimum dimensions of 8 inches long by 8 inches wide cross. It requires this specific fuel cell geometry for optimal performance and is not intended for tanks of other shapes or sizes.
