        Improves Horsepower And Torque. The K&N Series 63 AirCharger High Performance Cold Air Intake completely replaces your Coyote powered Mustangs restrictive factory air box and paper filter element with a high flow K&N filter assembly and a free-flowing polyethylene intake tube for a noticeable increase in horsepower and acceleration all while still providing excellent filtration.

        No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 5.0L GT Mustangs this K&N Series 63 CAI does not require a computer re-tune. The engineers at K&N really did their homework to improve your pony's power using the factory tune.

        Filters out harmful contaminants. The supplied K&N Filter successfully filter's out harmful contaminants with it's unique layered design. K&N Air Filters are made up of layers of specially treated cotton gauze that are sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens for durability. K&N uses a specially formulated grade of oil to treat the cotton gauze layers which causes a tackiness throughout the cotton's microscopic strands creating a powerful filtering media that ensures engine protection.

        Washable, Reusable Filter. K&N designed their high flow air filters to be reusable. That means there is no need to buy a new filter every few thousand miles, you can just clean the filter, re-oil it, and save money with a K&N Filter Recharge Kit.

        Straight Forward Installation. The K&N Series 63 Aircharger Cold Air Intake Kit is designed to install easily with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for proper installation. All necessary parts and instructions are included.

        Application. This K&N Series 63 Aircharger Cold Air Intake kit is specially designed to fit the 2015-2017 GT Mustang's equipped with the Coyote 5.0L 4 valve V8 engine. No computer retuning required.

        Technical Note. This K&N Cold Air Intake is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

        It says 24HP gain w/ an option tune. is the 24 HP additional on top of the original HP gains? How much HP does it produce without the tune? How much is the tune?

        • The 24hp gain was across the entire power curve with a BAMA custom tune. Without a tune and just 93 octane gas, there was a gain of 18hp across the power curve. To have your car tuned by Bama you will want to purchase the Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes Item #101200G15 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/x4-custom-tuner-2015gt.html).

        Without a protective cover over the air filter will water leak into the intake? I know the Roush intake has problems with that. If I buy this I don't want water going into my engine

        • I just drove mine through a torrential rain, and the filter remained dry. Probably because when you are driving the air is going out the vent and not in. However, if you wash your car, you need to cover the filter with a garbage bag

        Does this CAI come with the plugs to delete the sound tube ?

        • The K&N Series 63 AirCharger Performance Cold Air Intake does come with plugs to delete the sound tube.

        If I add a air aid throttle body will I need a tune with this intake

        • The K&N Series 63 Aircharger Performance Intake Kit will not require a tune when paired with an Airaid throttle body spacer. If you have a tuner, with custom tuning, I would highly recommend getting a tune revision to get the most power out of the intake and spacer.

          Great buy!

          Makes a clean and simple look to the engine compartment, not over the top. Nice throttle response and a slight whistle sound. Exhaust sounds a little more aggressive.

          Excellent product

          With the snow finally departed and the Mustang out of storage, the first project was to install the KandN CAI. Installation went perfectly and the instructions were excellent. Separating the washers, and other small parts before starting will pay you dividends. Immediately noticed a nicer sound, especially during acceleration. In addition, the engine compartment looks better too.

          GREAT for the price

          My car is a 2017 with 800 miles on it so I didn't want to tune yet but did want something to give some hp and deff can tell it's there really woke up the car especially in the higher rpms very satisfied would buy again

          fresh air

          I have used the KandN system in several of my mustangs they always turn out great. Same for this on. Only one little snag was getting the air sensor off the original unit was hard to reach one screw. But it was done and everything else went smooth. Already notice a better air to fuel mix. This is my new baby so one thing at a time.

          Nice quality!

          I gave it top marks for fit and performance. It sounds like the sound tube (before I capped it off) however it is a legit Cold air intake. It also comes with an actual cap for the sound tube. Very good quality and design.

          K N Cold Air Intake

          Very simple to install, took about 45 minutes. I can definitely feel a little extra power when driving. Wish there was a port on the intake that connected back to the vehicle so I could hear it in the vehicle. I know that's minor but I'm very impressed.

          More air

          Easy install , looks great, first change I normally make on all my cars. On my 17 I had to buy a 1/4 NPT male plug for the KandN CAI. I do not have the EVAP hose. Stock only had the PVC and Sound tube on the rear side of the tube plus the front left side Idle hose. No big deal only a low cost for the plug.
