I just installed the MBRP Black Series Exhausts on my Eco Boost last week. They sound incredible, now I want to install a CAI would anyone recommend the Roush CAI for this car

    • The Roush cold air intake would be a great pairing for your Ecoboost! You can find that cold air intake here: https://www.americanmuscle.com/2015-mustang-cold-air-intakes.html#shop-by3

How loud is this exhaust inside the car? More specifically I'm worried about drone when I'm in 6th gear doing 70 on the highway. Thanks!

    • This MBRP Street cat-back is one will not be as loud as some of the other cat-back exhaust options that we offer. With that being said, there has been very minimal droning if any at all. Please check out some customer reviews to see what others who have purchased this exhaust are saying about it!

would it fit a mustang ecoboost convertible

    • This MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust w/ Y-Pipe is only intended for installation on the 15'-17' Ecoboost Fastback Mustangs. This will not fit properly on the convertible model due to the position of the subframe.

I own a 2017 Mustang Ecoboost convertible and all the cat-back exhausts say that it will not fit the convertibles. What cat-back can fit my car then?

    • We offer numerous cat-backs that are compatible with your convertible Ecoboost. All of our Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Kooks, and RTR Cat-backs will fit convertible models, as well as a number of our Ford Performance Cat-Back Exhausts.

      MBRP STREET

The MBRP really woke my car up. I previously had a new intake from CandL with a throttle body spacer and felt no difference in performance of the car. With the MBRP I feel it actually has made the car preform better with the other bolt on mods. Either that or I’m finally getting better at launching. It was easy to install, the only trick was getting it to fit tight exactly where you wanted it. Mine touches the inner back bumper at the tailpipes just a little. The car now has a much louder cold start along with a much better and deeper tone. There is no drone on the highway and you only hear it if you step on the gas, and when you do you’ll definitely hear it. At a stop sign it has a little rumble that a sports car should have. This and the race MBRP is the best option you can get for a 4 banger. Does it sound like a V8? No. Go buy the V8 to get the “V8” sound. My only complaint is that my mufflers came with one big dent in them and had scratches along the sides. I payed extra and bought the black version for the looks and when it arrives at my door step it’s not how I was hoping it would look.

VIDEO DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE!!!

This is a awesome catback upgrade yall, trust me and the other people saying the video doesnt do it justice. On startup there is a nice growl, and when your going fast it really opens up and you can hear it so well. I had a V6 2012 mustang before this car, and this exhaust makes it sound better than that, for a EcoBoost! Definitely recommend

Good tone for what it is. Don't expect a GT sound. Comfortable loudness, you really don't hear it with the windows up unless you want to.

      2017 Ecoboost

Great exhaust system. It was semi loud when I first put it on, had a nice popping to it. After I tuned it became much quieter. Still nice deep drone to it. Also very noticeable that the car is breathing better. Main issue I had was that I was sent two passenger side extension pipes. Very frustrating because I didn’t realize until the stock exhaust was already off the car. that was MBRP’s fault not AM

      Great sound for the cost.

Just installed it today by myself. It can be done. One of the tips (left side) had to be modified due to it rubbing up against opening. Also picture shows most of it black, only muffler section and tips are black, not the mid section as picture shows. Also if you do it yourself, build it, leave it loose,(clamps) and start tightening everything from the rear to the front. Leave the y pipe for last. Overall, do love the sound compare to stock.

      Perfect!

I wanted something to give me a bit more power and a more aggressive sound for my 4 cyl. This was perfect! It is not too loud and it also has a very deep tone. I could not be happier. Incredibly easy to install, my husband and I did it in two hours with jack stands in our garage.

      Paul from Southwest Florida

An awesome upgrade, I feel a difference in the power. The sound is similar to a Lotus. You know its not a V8, however it sounds very potent. Ford intent was to make a power plant that was efficient, however plenty of power. I plan to install a CAI and go further from there. I love my Mustang very well balanced.

      Skeptical at first...

For all my mustang's, I've always have just gone with axle-back's. But this time since I had an Ecoboost, I decided to get any extra power wherever I can, because it makes it that more fun to drive. I've never been a "drone" kind of guy when driving with any after market exhaust on. But this system, although has a subtle drone. It's actually a very nice drone, it's not to loud, unless you get on it, but you definitely know you have an after market exhaust on. Which is great. Makes my 'Tang feel more bada**. I would recommend this system to anyone wanting a OVERALL great sound and performance gain exhaust.

Exactly what I was looking for!

The sound is deep, and not to loud. If you really hit the gas, than it will draw the attention. oterwise nice and deep. I also installed catted downpipe with this exhaust and it looks like free up some air. I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for sound and airflow improvement. My MPG went up 2MPG. Next thing will be the tuner

      Throaty sound

The reason I liked this exhaust was because it was deeper and louder which is exactly what I wanted. I compared sounds all over the Internet but this one was the best.
