Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate (Universal; Some Adaptation May Be Required)

Regulate Oil Flow for Better Performance. External oil coolers are a fantastic investment to lower the temperature of your Challenger's engine oil and maintain proper lubricity. However, an external oil cooler can cause the engine to warm up much slower during cold weather, leading to reduced efficiency and extended warm-up periods. For this reason, Mishimoto designed its Thermostatic Engine Oil Cooler Adapter to reduce warm-up periods. This billet aluminum sandwich plate mounts between the engine block and oil filter using an extended mounting stud and includes an integrated 185 degree thermostat that cuts oil flow to the oil cooler until it reaches the proper operating temperature for easy use.

T-6 6061 Aluminum. Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plates feature a fully CNC-machined, 6061 T-6 billet aluminum construction for maximum durability and resistance to road vibrations, chemical contamination, high fluid pressures, and repeated heat cycles. Additionally, this product features a ⅛-NPT port for the convenient mounting of an oil temp or oil pressure sensor.

Corrosion-Resistant Gold Anodized Gel. This product is finished in a stylish gold anodized finish for exceptionally good looks and excellent corrosion protection even in an environment as harsh as your Challenger's engine bay.
