RTR Tech 7. Add intimidation to your 2005-2014 S197 Mustang with a set of 19x9.5 gloss black RTR Tech 7 Wheels. Designed and developed by Vaughn Gittin Jr. the Tech 7 Wheel features 14 spokes that converge at the lip to create a unique seven point design. The RTR Tech 7 Wheel is the ideal appearance upgrade for your late model Mustang.

Flow Formed. Flow-Forming is a unique casting and forming process that results in a wheel that is similar in strength to that of a forged wheel. The wheel is first low pressure cast in aluminum and is rapidly cooled to enhance its elastic strength and durability. The casting is then placed in a special flow forming tool that heats the wheel while rollers press against the barrel to pull the rim into its final width and shape. This “stretching” process improves the grain structure of the aluminum making the wheel much stronger and lighter than a standard cast aluminum wheel. This RTR wheel only weighs 23lbs.

Gloss Black Finish. RTR Tech 7 Wheels are completed in a high quality gloss black powder coated finish for an aggressive appearance that everyone will be envious of. The finish of this RTR Wheel is tough enough to defend against the hazards of everyday driving. Including road chips and pitting for many years of head turning and tire burning enjoyment.

Required Upgrade. The stock (13/16”) lug nuts prove to be too large when used in conjunction with these wheels. AmericanMuscle recommends the use of Tuner Style Lugnuts. Please see ordering options above.

Application. This 19x9.5 RTR Tech 7 Wheel fits the front or rear of all 2005 to 2014 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, BOSS and Shelby GT500 models. Stagger with a 19x10.5 wheel on the rear for an aggressive muscle car stance and improved traction.

Recommended Tire Size:

Note: Priced per wheel.

I'm confused; I found in two places it says the wheel weight is 23 pounds but in one of the Q A you guys say they weigh 30lbs each. Which one is it, 23 pounds or 30lbs?

NoahK

  • I weight of the wheel alone is about 23 lbs. When the part is shipped, the entire weight of the shipment is a total of about 30 Lbs per wheel.

OK my question is more about the rim than any thing would there be any benefit to going for these 9.5 Front 10.5 Rear over the FR500 wheels 9.0 Front 10.0 Rear. I have a 2014 gt with brembos and lowered with koni struts I'm not sure how much lower than stock because i did not lower the car. I'm thinking about going 275 up front and ether 285 or 305 in the rear

  • Thank you for your question about the Staggered RTR Tech 7 Black Wheel & Mickey Thompson Tire Kit - 19x9.5/10.5 (05-14 All). As far as benefits versus the FR500 and assuming you are looking at the most comparable kit, the Staggered FR500 Style Black Wheel & Mickey Thompson Tire Kit - 18x9/10 (05-14), the biggest difference is cost and that the RTR kit has 19 inch wheels whereas the FR500 has 18 inch. Without knowing what your drop is I would not recommend deviating from our recommended and paired tire sizes in the kits. I want to run the 19x9.5 for the front and the 19x10.5 what modifications will i need to do on my 09 mustang that will be an over all dropped height of 1.9 inches when I install these rims?

Anonymous

  • Hi, No modification is needed to run this 19x9.5 on a 09 Mustang, with your 1.9" lowering kit i do not suggest using a tire larger than 255/40-19 on the front and 285/35-19 on the rear.

Are the center caps the same dimensions as the stock center caps? I.e I'd like to use my pony center caps instead of the RTR caps.

Jason

  • RTR center caps have the same dimensions as the stock center caps. You can tell because the teeth on the backside of the caps are shorter than the ones that are on the AMR wheels and other wheels that we sell on this website.

Got them shipped to Dubai so took sometime to get here but it was worth the wait. Since AM told me the stock lug nuts wont work i went with the tuner style lug nut in the same gloss black finish. Took an hour and half to fit the wheels to the tyres and change the valve and transfer the tpmi senso along with alignment and balancing but every thing looks and works very well. Highly recommended!! Thanks AM.

Black staggered, completes my "black out" look

Posted a few pics of my black '13 GT, went with Micky Thompson tires. Wider in the rear already giving me more traction ... as they are summer tires cant wait for it to warm up to fully feel the difference on a hard launch The offset is more aggressive than stack and I think looks great

    Aggressive, light weight, and beautiful.

These RTR Tech 7 wheels are one of the best choices for someone who wants a lighter-weight wheel and an aggressive look, both in styling and offset. I put 19x9.5 on all corners on my Boss 302 with 285/35 rubber on all four corners for a wonderful squared setup. No rubbing issues at all, and the aggressive 33 offset of these wheels make them nice and flush in the wheel wells. At 23lbs per wheel, these are significantly lighter than most factory wheels and a lot of the available aftermarket choices. Less unsprung weight, less rotating mass. More awesome. As mentioned in the product notes, you will need a different set of lug nuts. I went with the chrome six-spline lugs. The small amount of chrome accents the black wheels nicely. One more noteworthy point to mention... the aggressive offset of these wheels brought attention to the uneven rear axle on my car. To get a nice flush look in the back I am picking up an adjustable panhard bar to compensate for the fact that the driver's side wheel is poking out about a quarter of an inch, where the passenger side wheel is tucked in about the same amount. Not an issue with the wheels really, but one they drew attention to.

    A piece of art.....

Quick story before my review. I was originally planning on purchasing the Gen 1 (I guess you could call them?) RTR wheels within the next few weeks. But, a few months ago, AM posted a pic of the RTR mustang on Instagram. I fell in love with the wheels on that car. After doing a little research, I was heartbroken when I found out that they were made by HRE and ran $1,900 per wheel. So those were out of the picture at the time. So imagine my surprise when I saw the exact same wheels on AM last Thursday night while doing my habitual browsing through the "new products" page. I immediately called AM the next day with a few questions, and placed the order soon after before the end of the day in order to get them before the stock ran out. Well, just received them today, and it only took me a few hours to get them on my car (AM was out of the tires I wanted, so had to purchase them elsewhere and get them mounted). Right out of the box: These things are stunning! The pictures really don't do any justice. The pics on AM make them look mean, but in reality they are completely menacing. These definitely stand out from the crowd, as they still have the drift inspired style, all while being different enough to really differentiate themselves from the other RTR/drift-style inspired look-a-likes. For those interested, they have an offset of 33. I purchased four of the 9.5 and paired them with 255 and 285 Nitto INVOS. The paint itself is flawless (as would be expected from being powder coated), and it definitely looks like they are ready for the long haul (although only time will tell. They actually do weigh 23lbs (I checked with a simple bathroom scale) which is 5lbs lighter PER WHEEL when compared to stock and the older RTR wheels! In terms of rotational mass, that is insane! I didn't know anything about flow forming until I came across these, and I think it's safe to say that they are probably very similar in terms of strength when compared to forged wheels. These seem to be incredibly well built at a first glance! (again, only time will tell). Overall, everything about these wheels is fantastic. The paint (powder coating), weight, flow-formed, appearance, etc... I couldn't be happier with the fact that I went with these wheels over the other RTRs. The quality is that of forged wheels for a fraction of the price. Simply uploading a pic of them upon arrival in the box, as it was dark/raining (finally) by the time I got them on my Sterling Grey. Planning on taking a good pic of them on the car soon. Thank you AM and RTR for providing us with these truly amazing wheels. My original vision for my Mustang is slowly, but surely, turning into a reality! And these wheels already made it night and day!

    Amazing and Flashy

These wheels are amazing and so much lighter than my stock rims. I could easily carry a rim in each hand no problem but my stock ones were a bit of a hassle with 2 hands. They look great and allow allot of viewing behind the rims if you want to really show off your calipers.
