    Review & Install Video

Hey what’s up guys, Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com, and if you’re looking to complete that smoked appearance with your 2010 and up V6 and GT Mustang, then a blackout deck lid panel might just be the final piece you’re looking for. Now the panel itself is made from glossy, durable acrylic material, as you can see on our car back there it gives it a little more of a stealth like appearance. It would also pair up well with a set of smoked tail lights, or a smoked third brake light. The panel adheres using the supplied 3M adhesive tape which is conveniently already installed for you. However first you’re going to want to go ahead and prep the area using the supplied alcohol swabs provided with the kit. Now when it comes to install make sure to align everything first, make sure it looks perfect on the back of your car before giving it some firm pressure because as we know, once this tape is stuck, it’s on there. This panel is a great option to give the rear end of your 2010 and up V6 and GT Mustang a much more stealthy, aggressive appearance.

Great Styling. Now you can add sleek stealthy styling to your new Mustang with a SpeedForm Rear Blackout Panel. This panel cover easily and securely attaches to your Mustang's rear deck lid with no drilling or modifications required.

Quality Materials. Made from a durable composolite acrylic material that has a dark smoked appearance for stealthy styling, this Mustang Rear Blackout Panel will last for years.

Application. This SpeedForm Blackout Panel fits perfectly on all 2010 to 2012 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, and Shelby GT500 models.

    • The SpeedForm Decklid Blackout Panel is designed to accept the OEM decklid panel emblems. If your OEM emblem is not fitting, please contact our Customer Service Department so that we may assist you with this issue.

I have a 2013 GT and I see that this one will not fit. Do you have one like this that will fit? Thanks

    Phillip

    • At the current time, we do not have a SpeedForm decklid blackout panel in gloss black. We currently have the SpeedForm decklid blackout decal in matte black and also the MMD decklid panel which will fit your 2013 GT.

Will this fit my 2014 mustang the one I have is faded and want a new one but this says it only fits 10-12

    Anonymous

    • The rear decklid panels of the 2010-2012 are different than the 2013-2014 models so unfortunately this will not fit on a 2014.

Can I install this on a 2012 GT with 2014 Taillights?

    Waya

    • The Decklid Blackout Panel (10-12 All) has the same dimensions for the 2014 style taillights, this will work on your car.

      Nice Final Touch

Perfect fit and simple to install. This product is a "must have" addition to any 10-12 Mustang. Provides definition and pop to that awkward blank space between the tail lights.

      Doesn't fit 2012 v6

The hole is cut larger than the emblem. The emblem also will not sit flush, it will poke out unless you drill off the part underneath the emblem. Panel comes cut uneven. Minor scratches were on mine when I pulled it out the package. Also if your mustang is black, there is no need for a decklid panel at all. Looks exactly the same whether you have the panel or not...theres no improvement.

      Ok.

It’s transparent. I don’t know how to fix that issue. My car is dark so thank you on that part. The double sided tape is extremely bad. 3rd day it was about to fall off, thankfully I checked just in time! I used 3M tape that I use on my Louvers and it’s stuck on there now. When you buy, swap out the tape that’s already on there or it will fall off.

      Just ok

I bought this panel thinking it was a solid black. But it's a clear piece of smoked plastic, you can still see thru it. I'd tell you it's not worth spending your money on this. If it was entirely black then I'd say it was worth it. From a distance you can't tell but up close you can

      Mmmm idk

I didn’t like that it’s see through so I sprayed the back of it with black plastic dip spray paint and it came out really nice.

      Love It!

Product came very fast and was packaged very nicely! Easy installation! Only thing I was not a fan of was that in the corners, the plastic started to separate from the tape a bit. Other than that love the look!

      Watch out 2010 4.6l owners

Let me start off by saying that I love this decklid cover. Really makes the new tail lights pop out. However, I'm not sure if this is totally accurate, but I was unaware that all 4.6L 2010 GTs have a different style of decklid cover that causes the badge to not work with a bare trunk. I had to order a new badge for a 2011 5.0 gt just to cover the hole. I just wish the product noted that because there are 2010 5.0s that don't share the same decklid. All in all its a great product and just beware if you have a 2010 4.6L that you will need a different badge to make it work.

      Smoked decklid

I've had it for about a week now. The reason why I put it on my 2013 GT was that the paint had started to fade so I figured this would be a cheap fix for now until I had the trunk painted. I washed the car, used the alcohol wipes and installed the decklid. The fit was ok, but it's already falling off after a week and has to be adjusted constantly. I don't see it hanging on for week 2 lol.

Simple to add on, just pull off the 3m adhesive backing and attach. Lines up nicely, problem is that it's too transparent.
