    Review & Install Video

Hey what’s up guys, Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com, and if you’re looking to complete that smoked appearance with your 2010 and up V6 and GT Mustang, then a blackout deck lid panel might just be the final piece you’re looking for. Now the panel itself is made from glossy, durable acrylic material, as you can see on our car back there it gives it a little more of a stealth like appearance. It would also pair up well with a set of smoked tail lights, or a smoked third brake light. The panel adheres using the supplied 3M adhesive tape which is conveniently already installed for you. However first you’re going to want to go ahead and prep the area using the supplied alcohol swabs provided with the kit. Now when it comes to install make sure to align everything first, make sure it looks perfect on the back of your car before giving it some firm pressure because as we know, once this tape is stuck, it’s on there. This panel is a great option to give the rear end of your 2010 and up V6 and GT Mustang a much more stealthy, aggressive appearance.

Great Styling. Now you can add sleek stealthy styling to your new Mustang with a SpeedForm Rear Blackout Panel. This panel cover easily and securely attaches to your Mustang's rear deck lid with no drilling or modifications required.

Quality Materials. Made from a durable composolite acrylic material that has a dark smoked appearance for stealthy styling, this Mustang Rear Blackout Panel will last for years.

Application. This SpeedForm Blackout Panel fits perfectly on all 2010 to 2012 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, and Shelby GT500 models.

      Speedform deck lif

Fit is good, however the 3m tape was in two pieces which does not give the feeling of a top notch product.

Doesn’t Stick well and is transpart

Less than week and corners are peeling, also the panel is transparent not a solid color like you would think. Recommend you just purchase the next step up.

      Not worth it.

Purchased to use with a 13-14 taillight conversion on my 2011 GT500. Got the item, and test fitment wasn't even close. Cutout for decklid emblem poorly cut, scratches in various parts of the panel. Even test fitting, it looked obvious it was a piece of plastic taped to the decklid. If you care about the visual quality of your Mustang, this is a hard pass. A tape on insert will look more appealing than this.

      Great Fitment Look

Highly recommend those to change the look of their mustang. However, be in mind that this decklid is patially transparent, so on a white vehicle, you can see through it a little. Just keep that in mind if you have a lighter vehicle.

Deck lid is cool, is transparent not black, I like the glossy look, the cut isn’t perfect but it’s good enough. Looks good, 3M tape is MASSIVE strong so if you mess up you get a couple shots at it haha

      Tape Malfunction

When I got the decklid I wiped down my trunk with the provided alcohol wipes and within 24 hours the tape was already being undone. I guess it probably was me but I also didn’t like how rough the edge was on the panel. I recommend just investing in a legitimate decklid and not a tape-on

      Speedform decklid

It's ok but didn't say I had to paint it because I have a white car, charged for plastic, would have been better if it was the same material as my c strips.

      Nice Final Touch

Perfect fit and simple to install. This product is a "must have" addition to any 10-12 Mustang. Provides definition and pop to that awkward blank space between the tail lights.

      Doesn't fit 2012 v6

The hole is cut larger than the emblem. The emblem also will not sit flush, it will poke out unless you drill off the part underneath the emblem. Panel comes cut uneven. Minor scratches were on mine when I pulled it out the package. Also if your mustang is black, there is no need for a decklid panel at all. Looks exactly the same whether you have the panel or not...theres no improvement.

      Ok.

It’s transparent. I don’t know how to fix that issue. My car is dark so thank you on that part. The double sided tape is extremely bad. 3rd day it was about to fall off, thankfully I checked just in time! I used 3M tape that I use on my Louvers and it’s stuck on there now. When you buy, swap out the tape that’s already on there or it will fall off.

      Just ok

I bought this panel thinking it was a solid black. But it's a clear piece of smoked plastic, you can still see thru it. I'd tell you it's not worth spending your money on this. If it was entirely black then I'd say it was worth it. From a distance you can't tell but up close you can

I didn’t like that it’s see through so I sprayed the back of it with black plastic dip spray paint and it came out really nice.

      Love It!

Product came very fast and was packaged very nicely! Easy installation! Only thing I was not a fan of was that in the corners, the plastic started to separate from the tape a bit. Other than that love the look!
