Noah: Noah here from AmericanMuscle. We're checking out the SpeedForm Tail Light Covers in smoked for the '15 and newer Challenger. Now, if you're really wanting that dark tail light look, but you don't want to put a set of aftermarket lights on, or you just don't want to pay for aftermarket lights, then smoked tail light covers may be a really good fit for you.Upgraded lights can be really pricey, and sometimes they're just out of the picture. Now, light covers are a great option when it comes to tinting a tail light because you aren't spraying something directly on the light, you aren't putting vinyl over the light, and you're not replacing the entire light most of all. And the beauty of a cover is that it just slips right over that factory light, and blacks everything out for a nice sleek look. One thing people probably don't realize as well is that these guys will actually protect your tail light, and act as a second layer over the light inside. On to construction. If these are going to act as a barrier to protect your factory lights, as well as stay looking good for a long time, they need to be made of something pretty durable. Now, in this case, they are made from rigid acrylic. That's going to be resistant to scratching, and it will take a pretty good beating. And like I said before, these are designed to slip right over that tail light, but they're held on with double stick tape or included double stick Velcro strips. You can do it that way as well. And they can be removed really easy, especially if you do a lot of driving at night, and you want to quick pull-them-off to make yourself more visible.Coming in around 125 bucks, these are going to be a much more affordable option than a set of full tail lights. And I will say that they're really dark, and they definitely do a lot for the price tag. And one of the downsides to a more affordable option like this is that the actual bulb itself isn't upgraded, and the overall light that comes out of the tail light will be dimmed. But the tail lights on the Challenger are already LED, so you're sort of limited in terms of upgrading the brightness in this case. So, these are going to be just fine. The install difficulty for these tail light covers is only 1/3 wrenches, and getting them attached to your Challenger should really only take you about 15 minutes. This is a really nice and simple installation for anybody, and every DIYer at home should be able to get these on, no problem. So, at this point, I'm going to hand you over to one of our actual AM customers. And they're going to walk you through that install process step by step.Man: Today we're installing the smoked tail light lens covers. Simple, no tools required. All you need is a microfiber cloth, which does not come with alcohol, which does not come with them. And then the adhesion promoter, which does come with the lenses. So first, you just want to clean off your current tail lights. I'm just gonna mop a little bit first, and then hit them with some alcohol here in a second. You want that 3-inch strip to stick really well. So, you don't want to... These are removable too by the way, so they are 3-inch strip, but they're Velcro in between. So, you can take them off for cleaning underneath them. So, just like that.Mine came also to two end pieces separate from the middle piece. So, the first thing you want to do is get your cover. Got to get your fitment on there. See how that thing's gonna plug and play like that there. Just check your fitment. Feel like you're pretty good, go and pull that back off. Peel the 3-inch strips here, one and two for the outside lights. Boom. And those things be pretty sticky, so you pretty much want to go on there. Right...There you have it. Let me hold that down for a few seconds there. That's pretty much it. Come over here and do the next one. All right, same thing here. I kind of just watch that fitment there... there. All right, two outside lights. Spray this down with some alcohol. Go ahead and get this cleaned up real well. Check any debris off of there... The next thing you want to do is apply your adhesion promoter. It does say on the back that this stuff can be pretty chemically hazardous, so not to get it on your skin and stuff like that. So, I'm gonna go in with some gloves for this, even after the alcohol pads. So, definitely would do the adhesion promoter as well... Now, we're gonna let this sit for five minutes, let that primer really work. So, it's been five minutes since we applied our adhesion promoter. I'm just looking on this. You can kind of see, maybe you can tell you got a little bit more depth here, and the bottom is more flat. So, that's going to come and sit right around this piece here. So, that's how you can kind of tell you're upside down or not. All right, so adhesion promoter is on. Again, no tools required, peel and stick application for the lens covers. Yeah, I've already gotten down here and checked the fitment and kind of saw how I want it. So, it's a good idea just to get down there and kind of set it on there before peeling this off, and just kind of make sure it sits how you want it to be. Now, I've checked that as soon as this sits it's going to fit. So, kind of line up one side. Just like that. I'll hold that for 20, 30 seconds on each side. There you have it.
