5 1998 GT - EdwardF Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Easy to install

It was easy to install and made my speedometer accurate. I bought the car with non-stock size tires and I am pretty sure it has different gears. I did some guessing about what upgrades it had and I got really close. Very happy.

        5 1998 GT - PONYBOY1 Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Worked Great

The previous owner didnt boyher to change the gear after putting 3.73's in the rear. I was about 14 mphs off at 70, so 70 was actually 56 per gps. I changed this gear and brought it down to within 2-3 mphs. I also have 275 60R 16 rear tires so it migjt have actually put it spot on if I had not had the larger tires.

        Speedo

Did a rear end rebuild on my 88gt and upgraded the stock 2.73 gears to 3.73 Richmond gears and also put in Yukon posi unit.. well my Speedo was way off (15-20mph) and the 21 tooth Ford Speedo gear saved the day. Only took about 15 min to install.. This includes jacking the car up. Thanks American muscle!

I have a 1989 Mustang GT with a T5 manual transmission. I upgraded the rear gears to 3.73. Rear tire size is 245/50/16. Is the 21 tooth gear what i need to get the speedometer working correctly?

      • For your application, you will have a 7 Tooth Drive gear, requiring the 21 Tooth Ford Speedo Gear for proper speedometer operation.
