Great Gains. Boost the power and performance of your 2015-2017 GT Mustang by installing a V-3 Si Supercharger Kit from Vortech. The complete kit will boost your stock 5.0 GT to 630 horsepower and 483 lb/ft torque with 7.5 to 8.5 PSI running 91 octane fuel. Where the tuner kit will produce 775+ horsepower depending on custom tuning and fuel system upgrades.

Best Design. There are plenty of superchargers on the market for Mustangs, but only the V-3 Si from Vortech offers the advanced design of a centrifugal compressor. This results in higher pressure, lower heat generation, and better performance overall when compared to the usual roots style supercharger.

Two Kit Options. You have the option to choose between a Complete Kit or a Tuner Kit.
  • The complete kit includes a V-3 Si-Trim Centrifugal Supercharger, High-Flow Fuel Pump, Fuel Management Unit (FMU), High-Flow Bypass Valve, Reusable High-Flow Air Filter and a Programmer with custom Vortech calibration to re-flash the factory ECM.
  • While the tuner kit comes with comes with a V-3 Si-Trim Centrifugal Supercharger, Air Inlet System and all the required hardware needed for installation to upgrade your Pony. Note the tuner kit does not include any fuel management components (fuel injectors, adapter harnesses, fuel pump) or any calibration. Custom Dyno tuning is required for operation.

Installation. This process can take up to 9 hours, even for an experienced mechanic.

Application. This black Vortech V-3 Si Supercharger Kit is designed to be used on 2015-2017 Mustang GTs equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine. Please select your application from the options listed above.

How does this S/C compare to a twin screw. After reading all the pros and cons of each it seems both have advantages. With the performance package I hit 3500 rpm quick in 1st and 2nd gear. Does the Vortech compete with a twin screw?


  • They both have their pros and cons, the centrifugal supercharger like this vortech, can best be described as a belt driven turbocharger, wherein, it still has a "turbo like" impeller to compress the air at a high rate of speed, but is driven entirely by the engine belt system. A twin screw system uses 2 "screws" to pull in and compress the air also driven by the belt, a centrifugal style supercharger will compete and out-perform a twin screw depending on how the vehicle is set up.

It looks like the vortech website says it should include an intercooler?


  • The Vortech V-3 Si Supercharger will utilize an air to air intercooler, also referred to as a charge air cooler.

does this kit passes smog? or which of your kits do?


  • This Vortech V-3 Si Supercharger is not CARB Compliant and will not pass smog. The Roush R2300 670HP Supercharger, item 384386, is CARB approved. The Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger Kit, item 393440, and the Ford Performance 670HP Supercharger Kit, item 387372, are both CARB approved as well.

Will this system work with an automatic transmission


  • The Vortech V-3 Si Superchargerwill only work on Manual Transmission Mustangs.

Is there no intercooler provided in this kit? Is it even needed with a centrifugal supercharger? Also how does the belt routing work with this kit?


  • There is no intercooler with this kit. It is recommended for optimum air temperature to run an intercooler with a supercharger kit, or the use of meth injection. The belt would route with the use of an extra pulley on the crankshaft and routed directly to that.

Is the complete kit CARB certified?


  • This Vortech V-3 Si Supercharger has not been tested or approved by the California Air Resource Board (CARB) meaning it is not legal for use upon highway in the state of California.

    2015 Vortech

    The install is not for the faint of heart as you will be cutting up your car! I took a weekend to install it, about 8-10 hours total. I modified my existing cold air to work with the kit. Cold starts are a little rough for a few seconds but other than that it runs flawlessly. Power is incredible! runs a little stronger than stock up to 3500rpm and then you had better hold on! MPGs have improved and intake temps are still within a few degrees of ambient. The AF readings bounce around quite a bit more than they used to, I will address that when I get a proper tune.
