    • Improves Exhaust Flow for More Power
    • Raspy Race Car Growl
    • High-Flow Ceramic Catalytic Converters Included
    • 2.5" Mandrel-Bent Stainless Steel Tubing
    • Fits 2005-2009 GT and 2008-2009 Bullitt's
Improves Exhaust Flow. Magnaflow's X-Pipe uses free-flowing mandrel-bent piping with a Tru-X "X" style crossover and high-flow catalytic converters to improve exhaust flow and to produce significantly more horsepower and torque at the rear wheels than the restrictive factory catted H-pipe.

Race Car Growl. This free flowing Magnaflow Tru-X X-pipe for the 2005 to 2009 Mustang's not only increases power, but with its modern "X" crossover pipe design it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust.

Magnaflow High Flow Construction. Magnaflow uses 2.5" mandrel bent stainless steel tubing that has a consistent diameter throughout the length of the pipe, even at the bends to provide excellent exhaust flow that results in more power at the rear wheels. The included high flow ceramic catalytic converters far out perform the restrictive factory cats to provide a significant increase in horsepower and torque.

Application. This Magnaflow Tru-X Catted X-pipe is designed as a direct bolt-on for the 2005-2009 GT and 2008-2009 Bullitt Mustangs with either aftermarket short tube headers or the factory manifolds and a dual catback exhaust installed.

Do these cats pass OBDII emissions ?

    • The Magnaflow Catted Tru-X X-Pipe (05-09 GT) is not CARB legal, so it will not pass emissions in California. As for other states, this should pass. But, legally you cannot swap a catalytic converter unless it is proven to be defective.

Two Questions: - will the O2 sensors need to be disabled (in the tune) to avoid having an engine light come on? - are these for "off road" use only?

    • The Magnaflow Catted Tru-X X-Pipe will not require the o2 sensors to be disabled since this comes with cats. This system can be used for the street as well.

Is there any performance and sound difference between the magnaflow tru-X pipe and the pypes X pipe? Since the design is different

    • The Pypes Catted X-Pipe and Magnaflow Catted Tru-X X-Pipe will perform and sound very similarly, however we have noted better life expectancy from the catalytic converters on the Magnaflow X Pipe.

Will the check engine light come on because of the hi flow cats and oxygen sensors

    • The Magnaflow Catted Tru-X X-Pipe (05-09 GT) should not cause a check engine light as you will still have the cats. However a new tune would always be recommend for maximum performance.

Long Tube Headers? Is there any way to hook a long tube header like the kooks or pypes products to the magnaflow catted x pipe? Would cutting or welding be necessary or could you just bolt right on?

    • It's certainly possible but not very economic. You'd be paying for lot of extra pipe, catalytic converters, welding, cutting, and other fab work. It would be much more cost effective if you got just the X crossover part from magnaflow and made something up for your own headers.

      Holy Cow

I bought this catted X-Pipe because my OEM cats were throwing P0420 codes and I got tired of resetting it. I originally wanted an OEM style catted H-Pipe to replace mine, but once I did some searching and read some reviews, I decided on these awesome Magnaflow's. First, I want to say that I thought I had a loud exhaust with my Borla ATAK cat-back exhaust, but once I had these installed, it was more like Holy Cow!! The sound went from OMG to Ludicrous. Anything beyond 3K rpms and you better be on the look out for 'you know who'. I took my car to a shop to have these installed and I'm glad I did because they ran into a few problems. 1.) for some reason, these Magnaflows were shorter than the factory H-pipe, so the mechanic had to weld in some sleeves to fit with my Borla cat-back exhaust. 2.) the mechanic broke one of my manifold bolts while tightening. 3.) Because of the X design vs the factory H one, clearance near my Moroso Competition Driveshaft Safety Loop was too close for comfort. But it did fit. 4.) the hangers were way off and had to be removed and welded back into the right position. It only took one day to receive these pipes. But if you buy these, just know that they come in three pieces and not one like the picture on this web site shows. As I mentioned earlier, this X-Pipe really opens up your exhaust and they're loud. The good news is they make my 2006 Kenne Bell Supercharged Mustang GT sound like a race car now. The plus side of having a stick is you can blip the throttle at will and let 'them' know you mean business if necessary and enjoy the awesomeness trumpeting through the tailpipes.. I wouldn't recommend if you're worried about being too loud. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm also posting pictures soon because for some odd reason, there's only one customer pic so far.

      Awesome

The Magna Flow X Pipe makes the Stang sound awesome. A little more HP felt, but the sound is amazing. Can't wait to add headers. Running the X Pipe into FlowMaster Outlaws. Vroom

      Pricey but excellent sound

Decided I wanted my 07 GT to be a bit louder but was afraid of it being too loud around town. Mixed with the Bassani axle back I get the best of both worlds. Not annoying just rolling around town, but when you romp on it boy does it sound absolutely amazing! Real crisp rap from the tail pipes and still a nice burble at idle and riding around under the radar. I did notice a bit of a power gain around mid to high RPM (BBK CAI, CMCP Delete, BAMA tuned being the only power mods). Fitment was a bit of a hassle, hangers needed a bit of massaging with a hammer and it sits real close to the heat shields (which I ended up having to remove). I put up with having to pay just a bit more than the next brand, and I'm sure glad I spent that extra dime.

      Purrrrrfect sound

I had this X-pipe installed on my Roush Stage 1 GT and the sound is just right. Not to loud where your neighbors will hate you, but just loud enough to let everybody on the road know you mean business. It took about 2 hrs for the install. I had my shop do it just because i Didn't have a lift. The price is right and the new sound makes it worth it.

      Magnaflow Catted X pipe

Excellent product. Heads turn whenever I pass by in my Pony. It has a nice trumpet sound when cruising. I have the Ford racing cams, magnaflow shorty tuned headers, and with the x-pipes, the idle and driving sounds are ferocious.

      Great sound

This product sounds amazing. I have it paired with the Flowmaster outlaw series muffler. I selected afternoon only because I ran into a problem taking the old ones off, otherwise it would have taken less time. The x-pipe looks very nice. The only thing I was confused on was that there was a metal plate spot welded on the converter that says off road use only. Great product for the money.

      Very nice!

I installed this X-pipe system on my 07 GT/CS along with Ford Racing's FR 500 Axlebacks. What an amazing sound. I had the dealership I work at install them on Thursday. It is now Sunday & I have had no less than, literally, 100 compliments! Initial rev is raspy & loud. Going through the gears, initially loud...quiets up...and gets loud again as you shift into the next gear. ZERO drone at highway speeds. My personal favorite combo!

      Amazing product

The magnaflow catted tru-X is a great addition to 2008 GT! The sound difference is awesome. Matched with magnaflow axle back it gives the car a true muscle car tone without being loud or annoying. Install was easy. It took a buddy and I 2 hours to do on the ground with jack stands. The only this is you might have to re align your axle back after the install. Mine were slightly off when we finished. No big deal. When you start the car for the fist time the white smoke that comes out is normal. It's just the oil burning out of the new pipes. AM and magnaflow put out a great product and it's well worth the price.

The install was easy on a lift. I was gonna do it on the ground and decided not to. Glad i did cause it would have been a pain on the ground. I love the sound...it growls sweet in between shifts and top end its awesome. I have flowmaster american thunder mufflers and the sound cant be beat. I have steeda cai, sct sport tune, steeda underdrive pullies, hurst comp plus shifter, bbk 62mm t-body and the one piece alum. drive shaft found right here in american muscle and im running 12.88!! Not too bad for a daily driver!!!

      Nice Sound

Awesome sound, fairly easy install, a little tweaking to get the tips lined up perfectly though. The pictures on the web site do not show that it comes in 3 pieces and you have to use the provided clamps to install.Cannot complain about the price as it was 62% off, but is still fairly high priced compared to others on the market. I would not have paid the 1500+ bones reg price. Also kinda disapointed they was no sticker included in the box, even though I would not stick it anywhere on my car, it's nice to have. You cannot beat that sound though, above 3000 its like music. Paired with a set of Roush cat-backs its absolutely sweet!!

      Great!!

Great addition to my 2009 Bullitt. I chose to go with thia x pipe because 2 of the 3 mustang places recommended it over all other catted x pipes. I also like that i dont have to worry about emissions and the high flow cats make it sound chrisper. The installation was easy with no modifications or leaks. Also the 4 inch tips look great because they are stainless and no rolled like a lot of the others. I chose this x pipe with the magnaflow axleback with magnapack straight through mufflers and it sounds amazing. I just have a some drone from 1800-1900 rpm but it doesnt really bother me. I also like that when you're cruising there's a nice intimidating rumble but if your putting around or taking off slow its not obnoxious but its very loud once you hit it. It turns heads and it is a must for the person looking for a great all around exhaust.

      Dont Last

easy install added a lot of responsiveness to the car, however ive only put 10,000 miles on the cats and they just went bad and now im gonna switch to straight pipes with no cats. good product just dont last very long, at least in my car.

      Excellent Addition

Just got it installed today. I took the car to a shop to combine this and the Borla S Cat-back. The installer said it went together with little trouble. At idle, this combination isn't going to piss off the neighbors - Pulling away from the house, especially if I'm in a hurry - is a very different story! It growls with a lot of authority and is an absolute joy that only increases with the RPM's. Combined with C&L Racer CAI, SCT X3, Steeda underdrive pulley, Steeda Tri Ax shifter and Motive 3.90 gears, I couldn't be happier with Phase I. All these components work well together and there will be more to follow - and American Muscle will fit in big in future plans. Thanks!

      Sounds great, no gains.

On my naturally-aspirated Mustang GT, dyno testing showed no gains in HP or Torque vs. factory H-pipe, but it sure does sound great.

      Impressive

I ordered this product, along with the Borla Stinger Axle Back system. I actually installed them on different days, X-pipe first. I can tell you that there was no recognizable difference in power with this x pipe installed, but the sound was quite different, and very nice. You will certainly hear your exhaust breathing easier and the x gives the stock mufflers, which aren't half bad, a new and more aggressive tone. I'm quite impressed with the quality of the build and I like the fact I don't have to sweat the inspection due to the cats. Overall a very good buy and a decent price.
