    Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a tuner, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 3 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

    • Street (87-93 octane) - the street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses in on increasing mid-range power. It does give up a few HP at higher RPMs, but that's why there is a Performance file. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.
    • Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.
    • Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race only Use" as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. in fact, the adjustments are so aggressive, that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. Finally, with the automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

    Nitrous (91-unleaded race gas) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91-octane unleaded fuel.

    Easy to load; easy to restore. Not only are the custom tunes easy to load on your vehicle, it is just as easy to restore your factory settings. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

        I have read the contents of this kit, I have watched the video, but I STILL DON'T KNOW if this kit includes the rear gear pinion bearing kit necessary for 2010 Mustang gear swaps? And this is from a person who reads, writes and interprets complex written language for a living... Also, can not find this "drop-down" menu you are talking about in the video. You warn about it being necessary all the time, yet do not state clearly if this bearing kit contains it or not. Please indicate this CLEARLY for everyone to see, it is really confusing. Apart from that (assuming the kit DOES NOT include the rear, which I seem to deduct from one of the answers for previous questions), why make a bearing kit without the most important and needed bearing? Does ANY kit you sell include this 2010 rear gear pinion bearing (maybe those big kits with bottles for 279$ or any other kits by Ford?) or the only way is to buy the bearing separately?

        • We do apologize that the listing is not clear enough. The Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit does not include the Rear Gear Pinion Bearing for 2010-2014 Mustangs. The bearing is not included in the kit because the kit is designed for 1986-2014 Mustangs, and it is not necessary for the majority of the years this kit works on.         can the Bama SF4/X4 be used to turn off theft system I have a 2003 mustang GT, I've had several occasions when car would not start due to theft system. I would like to bypass/turn off the theft system

        Will this work after a engine swap? I own a 2000 Mustang GT 5 speed and was considering purchasing this tuner to wake it up some more. I am in the process of putting a new 4.6 SOHC motor in the car. If I buy this tuner and use it with the 4.6 already in the car will it work when I put the new engine in? The engine is just a rebuilt version of what's already in there.

        • The tuner would still work fine, there shouldn't be any issues with the tune working with a direct engine repalcement.

            Quality gears, no noise. Installed when doing Trac loc rebuild. Not a huge difference from 3.27, isn't going to turn your car into a rocket by itself. You'll need to add more horse power for that.

            First of all, for the tuner itself, it seems a little delicate In quality for the price. I just assumed it would be a little more substantial in the hand. Nonetheless, it’s very appealing to the eye, compact, it has a very nice easy to see and read screen. I like that you can adjust brightness and screen orientation. Very easy to use. I like that it has a code scanner built in for those times your wife says her CEL is on and you don’t feel like driving to the parts store for a scan. I also like the fact that you can fine tune the screen gauge layout to your taste of what you what to “keep an eye on”. Very intuitive piece of hardware. Very satisfied with the results.

            Upgraded from stock 3.31 to 3.73

            Upgrading from the stock 3.31 gears to 3.73 is the equivalent to "gaining" about 12 more torque at the wheels. (3.31/3.73=0.88). This equates to shaving about 0.3 seconds from 0-60. From 4.4 to 4.1s. With that being said, my car noticeably shifts smoother and has more of a spirited feel. There is no more lurching at low end from 1st-2nd-3rd because you're shifting at about 350rpm higher per gear. It also makes downshifting a bit smoother. Because of that, gas mileage loses about 2MPG city/highway on average. I paired this with the Motive Kit as well as the Royal Purple and friction modifier. I have no whine at all driving. Also, be sure to flash your ECU with the new gears so your speedometer is correct.

            You sacrifice some gas mileage but definitely a must for the '14 V6. Easier to get into power since you're much closer to the powerband. To be clear you're not really gaining power you're just moving it around.

            not enough variety of shims

            I read a review before purchasing that said there wasn't enough variety of shims and i thought i'd take a chance, but they were right. After my Ford mechanics tried to install the gear there wasn't enough shims in the kits and now i have to buy a lot of replacement parts, i.e. pinion bearing, crush sleeve and a bunch of shims. about 300.00 worth.

            I switched from 3.73 to 4.10s and noticed a huge difference of the line. best bang for getting up to speed and "grabbing" the power to the wheels. Not the best for gas but thats not why you get them.
