Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a tuner, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 3 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

  • Street (87-93 octane) - the street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses in on increasing mid-range power. It does give up a few HP at higher RPMs, but that's why there is a Performance file. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.
  • Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.
  • Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race only Use" as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. in fact, the adjustments are so aggressive, that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. Finally, with the automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

Nitrous (91-unleaded race gas) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91-octane unleaded fuel.

Easy to load; easy to restore. Not only are the custom tunes easy to load on your vehicle, it is just as easy to restore your factory settings. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

I have read the contents of this kit, I have watched the video, but I STILL DON'T KNOW if this kit includes the rear gear pinion bearing kit necessary for 2010 Mustang gear swaps? And this is from a person who reads, writes and interprets complex written language for a living... Also, can not find this "drop-down" menu you are talking about in the video. You warn about it being necessary all the time, yet do not state clearly if this bearing kit contains it or not. Please indicate this CLEARLY for everyone to see, it is really confusing. Apart from that (assuming the kit DOES NOT include the rear, which I seem to deduct from one of the answers for previous questions), why make a bearing kit without the most important and needed bearing? Does ANY kit you sell include this 2010 rear gear pinion bearing (maybe those big kits with bottles for 279$ or any other kits by Ford?) or the only way is to buy the bearing separately?

  • We do apologize that the listing is not clear enough. The Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit does not include the Rear Gear Pinion Bearing for 2010-2014 Mustangs. The bearing is not included in the kit because the kit is designed for 1986-2014 Mustangs, and it is not necessary for the majority of the years this kit works on. can the Bama SF4/X4 be used to turn off theft system I have a 2003 mustang GT, I've had several occasions when car would not start due to theft system. I would like to bypass/turn off the theft system

    Can you say IMPROVEMEMT?

    Installed on my 03 GT. Install price was $200 trust me if you dont know what you are doing with the shims and setting the backlash have a pro install these, but lauch is much improved 2nd gear is nasty. Went to the local strip with is an 1/8 mile track and ran 9 flat with the help of the AM CAI. Killed a few Comaros in the process and isn't that what we are all after? Buy it stop reading! GO!

    Pay for it now

    Even if you send the car to the shop to get it rebuild, you are much better off buying this kit then paying for parts. I was quoted a $900 installation + parts for redoing my rear gears. So I purchased the parts and lube here in American Muscle and only paid for labor which was only $360, so I ended up saving $275.

    3.73 2008 GT

    What gear do I get? That is the question burning through your mind, dear reader. I have not had a 4.10 in my car but putting in the 3.73 is with out a doubt a perfect match! The car is tighter on the pick up and it goes like stink! When you want it to be tame it will do that too. RPM increase at 60 mph is only about 200 RPM. Very little loss for a very big gain! I had mine installed by a good mechanic and that ran me a little over $300. A perfectly balanced gear.

    Good buy for any guy (or gal)

    Bought gears, install kit, and girdle a few weeks ago and had them professionally installed. Very happy with the gears and how well my car pulls now. If you want to make your car a little quicker without major cash, these gears are an excellent choice.

    DONT FEAR THE GEAR! The perfect gear for a street car. Decent RPMs on the highway and crazy excelleration through first 3gears. Have them installed by an experiance tech who has done these before. Its hard to keep my foot out of it now!

    3.73 Gear Install

    I just had my 3.73's installed the other day on my 96 GT conv. MAN!!! What a difference. I would defintely recommend buying the bearing kit and the Royal Purple Max Gear oil. I did and I don't have any sort of whine, it is just very smooth, and definetly pulls much harder in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Thanks to AM for another perfect order!!!

    bought these along with 3.73 gears for my 06 GT, if your installing new gears you NEEEEDD this kit. NEVER redo a rear end reusing the original bearings and bolts.I had ford do the install and if i bought the same bearings and bolts through them it woulda been $250 extra. trust me these are so worth it and assurance that NOTHING can go wrong if you do the install correctly

    Need For Speed

    These 3:73 gears are awesome. Ford should have built mustangs with these gears instead of the whimpy 3:27\'s. Be prepared to get whiplashed while switching through gears. And if your good with the stick (manual transmission) you can burn rubber in 3rd gear too. These gears unleashed the beast within my 03 mustang they are a must have.

    Looked at a few gear ratios but couldnt really decide. i wanted something that would make a big difference, but i wanted it to have good street manners as well. went with the 3.73's and it was the ticket dead on. puts me in the rpm range when i need them, yet lets me cruise in 5th with an acceptable rpm range. be sure to get the install kit and you should be good to go. i did the install with a friend and was able to get it done in 4 hours; but prepare for a fight. AM was great as always, fast shipping quality product. (wish this was my 1st mod performed, huge difference over stock which was a 3.27 in my stang)

    did what it was supposed to...

    well, its a bearing kit- no frills to it i guess. I wish there had been a larger selection of new shims to use- there seemed to be only 2 sizes if i remember correctly, so you have to use a larger stack of shims, as opposed to a few thicker shims... not that it really makes a diference i guess. it also comes with a kick a$$ motive bearing sticker for your tool box... oh, and the directions for how to re seal the cover were wrong... My instructions are to take that gasket in your hand, and sling it into the front yard as hard as you can- then go get some good rtv and put a bead on the case... those gaskets are worthless...

    Just got it today and i have so much to say but ill make it simple. BUY IT NOW! I got 87 street, 87 perf, 93 race tunes. (its a DD) I havent even tried the 93 race but the 87 perf is worth the $400 bucks easy! Tire chirp in 2nd gear in an auto. I cant wait to run out of 87 so i can try 93 race. Stop wasting time like i did. I read every review, every forum for weeks. JUST DO IT NOW!! I drive a 04 gt vert auto, Pypes catted X, violator cat back, accufab 75mm tb

    Get More Outta Your Upgrades with this Tuner!

    I recently had purchased an Upper Intake Plenum and 75MM Throttle Body. I expected for the throttle response to get better and a slight gain in HP. Then I added this tuner with it and got a lot more outta my car. The device is easy to use and the tunes are easy to install. It was well worth the money and the name plate that comes with it was of high quality as well. All the tunes are different but are precise to how Bama Performance wants them to be. The color display really sets this unit off and allows you to change colors of the display as well. It doesn't take a genius to follow the on screen instructions either. Another great product and customer service from AM and Bama Performance.

    i was trying to decide to go 3.73 or 4.10 but 4.10 will be to much. i went for 3.73 and got them installed at a profesional shop at houston performance and woooooow big difference, i love the way my 5.0l 94 stang, pulls now 2nd 3rd and 4th even 5th gear feels like 3rd going at 40 or 50 mph very pleased. if u are thinking about 4.10 and 3.73 go for 3.73 u wouldnt regret it. i recommend

    These gears are great, It really woke my car up. I feel a world of difference. I looked into 4.10 gears but I would have lost a lot of top end, These gears are still okay on the freeway. Definatly a good move. Get the speed cal unit to correct speedo you will need it.
