I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is our acceleration pack bolt on build up for all 99-04 Mustang GTs. The focus of this pack is of course acceleration, but in order to accelerate faster you need traction, and lots of it. That’s why the majority of the parts used for our build today are focused on getting us off the line much quicker, ultimately resulting in faster acceleration. But before we go over all the parts we have in store for our 2000 GT here, let’s get it out of the shop and do a quick 0-60 baseline run, just to see where we stand now. Alright, before we go installing all of our parts for the acceleration pack, we’re going to do a baseline 0-60 run, using our iTSX wireless tuner and my iPad here, just to see where the car stands now, so hit start and here we go. Alright so it looks like we just clicked off a 6.66 0-60 time with our automatic 2000 GT, which is pretty average for this model car. Now we’re going to take our car back into the shop, talk a little bit more about some of the parts we have in store, and get them installed. Since traction is the theme of the day, what better way to get more of it, than by using a set of these NITTO NT555R Drag Radials, those large tread blocks paired with that real soft compound is going to give us a ton of grip both on the street and at the strip, and should really help our GT get off the line. To further help our GT hook we decided to go with some vital suspension components from QA1, starting with these box style rear lower control arms, these bars are a variation of the classic traction bar design, and basically help keep the rear axle from moving around under load, and especially on hard launches, eliminating any excessive wheel hop. We also decided to go with a set of these QA1 adjustable rear upper control arms, that are fully adjustable while still on the car. These are going to be key to adjusting our pinion angle which is not only important for traction, but also for driveline smoothness. These are really going to help firm up the rear end of the car, and eliminate any side to side sloppiness or wiggle, making the car track a lot straighter, and just making for an overall better driving experience. Moving away from our traction and getting into another big contributing factor to our acceleration, that’s right our gearing. From the factory, our automatic 2000 GT came with 3.27 gears, which is pretty weak for acceleration. That’s where these Ford Racing 4.10 gears come into play, simply put, that shorter gear ratio is going to help our car accelerate faster. Quite frankly, I’m quite anxious to see how it’s going to wake up our 2 valve motor. So now that you know what we have in store for our GT, we’re going to hand the car over to the crew and get everything installed, after they’re all done we’re going to take our GT back out on the street, just to see how it behaves on the road, and to see if we’ve improved on our 0-60 time. Alright so we’re out here on the street with our 2000 GT, we just had the acceleration pack installed by the guys back at the shop, and we’re just cruising, I mean the car is very mild mannered, we’re in overdrive, you’d never be able to tell there’s gears in the car, until you do a little squeeze on the throttle, and man does it go. It goes, it goes, and it hooks hard too. I mean we didn’t even have a chance to heat cycle the tires there and it just dead hooked on the street. Car is a little stiffer in the rear, that’s attributed to the stiffer bushings in both the QA1 lower and upper control arms, but that’s going to be a good thing, that’s going to help keep the car straight, going down the track, it’s also going to reduce our wheel hop as well, and overall just improve our acceleration. So now we’ve had the chance to drive the car around on the street a little bit, see how it reacts in everyday situations, we’re going to put it to the ultimate test, get it back to the shop, do a hard launch, and see if these parts work in lowering our 0-60 time. Alright, so we just finished up our second 0-60 run, and we just clicked off a 5.09 second 0-60, that’s over half a second off our baseline number, so it’s easy to see our acceleration pack is doing its job, and I’ve got to admit, those radials definitely helped us hook on the pavement. So that does it for the acceleration pack, be sure to check out our other 99-04 bolt on build ups where we make our GT handle a bit better, we give it some more power, and dress it up a little bit.

Improve ET's and Low End Torque. Installing a set of steeper rear gears is a great way to get more low end grunt off the line and lower your ET's at the same time. Ford Racing Mustang ring and pinion gears feature a super strong forged construction, CNC cut & lapped gear teeth, and a black oxide finish to resist corrosion making them perfect for street, road, or race use.

Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations. You can also save money on your installation labor by having your Trac-Lok rebuilt at the same time as your gears are installed, see drop down option above.
**NOTE: Programming custom tunes may take 2-3 business days plus applicable shipping time. We recommend ordering other products separately to avoid delay. Heavily modified cars are not tunable with a mail order tune. Click for restrictions. Membership in the Tunes for Life program is is valid for as long as you own the car that was originally tuned and is non-transferrable.

Had terrible whining noise come from not one set, but 2 sets of Ford performance 4.10 gears. Each set was installed by the same trusted tech. Different results. I thought surely buying a Ford performance part wouldn’t give me any problems. I was wrong. Thankful to my local shop for buying the same part, installing it completely for free. Only to have the same problems.Helpful (0)

Gears came in the Ford Racing packaging. Not too banged up. Included a new nut and crush sleeve. Needed minimal shim adjustments to make the pattern perfect. Gears ars quiet so far and I don't have any reason to suspect any longterm issues. Didn't include instructions but if you need them then you likely aren't the right person to install them.Helpful (0)

Just my luck!
Gave 3 stars because it worked great for a yr then went out 5 days after 1 yr warranty, I would have to ship back at my expense and pay $100 to have it fixed. Not good business in my book!Helpful (0)

Bama tuning destroyed my car!!
Im not gona go in depth on here but basically bama "performance" destroyed my car after less than 2 months of using their tunes. Their generic poor excuse of a tune destroyed almost every sensor, and computer/module on my 2001 mustang gt with 100k miles. I had the engine completely broken down and refurbished, all the fuel delivery and ignition systems replaced, new ECU, to many senors and electronics to list. And now after several months and almost 2000$ later my car is finally running again! Bama also has terrible customer service. So i strongly recommend investing a little more money in a QUALITY tuning company instead of this poor excuse of a company called Bama Performance!!Helpful (14)

Worked good for a while then one week after the so called one year warranty unit quit working and they want $100 and shipping costs to fix it. Nice racket you have going and making so much money that your honor is out the door,, thanks anyway!Helpful (4)
I have read the contents of this kit, I have watched the video, but I STILL DON'T KNOW if this kit includes the rear gear pinion bearing kit necessary for 2010 Mustang gear swaps? And this is from a person who reads, writes and interprets complex written language for a living... Also, can not find this "drop-down" menu you are talking about in the video. You warn about it being necessary all the time, yet do not state clearly if this bearing kit contains it or not. Please indicate this CLEARLY for everyone to see, it is really confusing. Apart from that (assuming the kit DOES NOT include the rear, which I seem to deduct from one of the answers for previous questions), why make a bearing kit without the most important and needed bearing? Does ANY kit you sell include this 2010 rear gear pinion bearing (maybe those big kits with bottles for 279$ or any other kits by Ford?) or the only way is to buy the bearing separately?
We do apologize that the listing is not clear enough. The Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit does not include the Rear Gear Pinion Bearing for 2010-2014 Mustangs. The bearing is not included in the kit because the kit is designed for 1986-2014 Mustangs, and it is not necessary for the majority of the years this kit works on. It is included in the Gear Combo Kits for the 2010-2014 GT and 2011-2014 V6 Mustangs found here: https://www.americanmuscle.com/2010-mustang-gears.html#shop-by7
Will this correct speedo for a rear gear change
Yes this Bama tuner would be able to calibrate your vehicle for the gear change that you made to it.
What type of bearing come in this kit? Koyo or Timken?
This Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit - 8.8 in. (86-14 V8; 11-14 V6) kit is going to have Timken pinion bearings and Koyo carriers.
can the Bama SF4/X4 be used to turn off theft system I have a 2003 mustang GT, I've had several occasions when car would not start due to theft system. I would like to bypass/turn off the theft system
We can disable this system within a custom tune upon your request.
Will this work after a engine swap? I own a 2000 Mustang GT 5 speed and was considering purchasing this tuner to wake it up some more. I am in the process of putting a new 4.6 SOHC motor in the car. If I buy this tuner and use it with the 4.6 already in the car will it work when I put the new engine in? The engine is just a rebuilt version of what's already in there.
The tuner would still work fine, there shouldn't be any issues with the tune working with a direct engine repalcement.
The tune would not be affected if the battery is replaced or disconnected.
This kit comes complete with everything you need for a full rebuild: bearings, shims, crush sleeve, etc... The $35 kit is a basic kit that is the same as the more expensive version, but there are no bearings included. We highly recommend getting the complete kit and replacing all your bearings and shims at the same time to prevent any costly problems down the road. It's better to replace them all at once, rather than having to tear the car apart again just for a bearing gone bad.
This indeed will help correct for changes from the stock wheel and tire size.
This Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit does indeed come with everything needed to install new gears into a new differential.
The Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes will be able to get you some more horsepower than the preloaded tunes yes!
As long as you are installing the smaller pulley onto the stock Cobra supercharger this will be able to be used with that setup.
Unfortunately, Bama does not tune for aftermarket superchargers.
The Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit will work with pre 2015 8.8 rear axles.
The Motive Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit - 8.8 in. (86-14 V8; 11-14 V6) comes with everything you need to replace your rear end. The only other part you'll need, since you have a 2014 Mustang GT, is going to be a Ford Rear Gear Pinion Bearing - 8.8in (10-14 V8; 11-14 V6), item # 52994, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/88-gear-assembly-2010.html). In 2010, Ford changed the rear inner gear pinion bearing.
Yes. The tuner can accept analog inputs such as AFR and Boost signals for data logging.
