Hey guys. Today we're gonna be looking at and installing the AWE Touring Edition Axle-Back Exhaust with Black Diamond Tips for 2011-2014 GT Mustangs. This axle-back is gonna be for someone who's looking for a top-of-the-line axle-back when it comes to materials, something with absolutely no drone and something that's definitely gonna bring a lot of volume but not be over-the-top and not have a lot of raspiness to it. This system is made from three inch 304 stainless steel. And it has a lifetime warranty on it. It costs just over $700 dollars and it's very easy to install. I'll call it a one-out-of-three wrenches in the difficulty meter. With all that being said, let's get to the fun part and I'll show you how to get this installed. For this install you'll need a ratchet or an impact gun, an extension or two, an 11 millimeter socket, a 13 millimeter socket, a 15 millimeter socket and an exhaust hanger tool might be very helpful. So the first thing we're gonna do here with this uninstall is we're actually going to undo the two 15 millimeter bolts that are holding the panhard bar support brace into place. I'm only gonna undo this side and this is just gonna give me a little bit more room to help get my mufflers out of the hangers. All right. So with the panhard bar support brace unbolted we're just gonna pull it down and out of the way so we give ourselves a little bit of room here. From here we're gonna switch to a 13 millimeter and undo the clamp here holding our mufflers in place. All right. So now I'm gonna take an exhaust hanger tool and I'm gonna pop this out of the hanger back here at the exhaust tip first. I did spray these with WD-40, it'll probably help you guys too, see how easy this will pop out. So as you guys can see the muffler's pretty much hanging now. It's held in place by two hangers still. First I'm going to separate the muffler from the over axle pipe and then I'm going to slide the entire assembly back towards the front of the car to get it out of those hangers. And this is exactly why we dropped the panhard bar support brace on this side, we wouldn't have the clearance to do this if we hadn't dropped it. So at this point my muffler is free, I am just going to push back towards the front of the car and slide it out of the hangers. So now on the other side we're gonna undo our muffler clamp again. All right. So we're also going to use out hanger removal tool to get this side out of the back hanger as well. All right. So we'll separate our muffler from our over axle pipe now. Once again I have some WD-40 on both hangers here, it's really gonna help me get this muffler out. So I'm going to lift it up into place, push back towards the front of the car. So this is the stock axle-back compared to part of the AWE axle-back. You can see the AWE axle-back is a lot more compact muffler. This is AWE's touring resonator and it's designed to give great sound, open up exhaust flow and have absolutely no drone at all. This is made from three inch 304 stainless steel and it flows down to AWE's four and a half inch black chrome exhaust tip. And if the touring axle-back wasn't loud enough for you, you can always check out AWE's track exhaust instead. Okay. So in order to get this installed we're actually gonna slide into out hangers first. We're gonna slide these two into the hangers first then we're gonna connect the over axle pipe right here. So we're gonna go ahead, get this lined up. So at this point I have the muffler sitting in the rear hangers only. So I'm gonna go ahead and use a pole jack to jack up the over axle pipe so I can get it lined up with my muffler and I can make that connection there. All right, so I'm just going to try to line this up and get these sealed. All right, so at this point I'm gonna tighten this clamp just a little bit to keep this sealed but I'm not gonna completely tighten it because I need this to move a little bit still. The next step is I'm going to get the exhaust into this hanger back here. Now we're ready for our exhaust tip and we're doing this before we tighten anything down so we can get it all lined up. So we're gonna grab our exhaust tip. The AWE logo needs to go at 12 o'clock, so that needs to be facing forward and up. Then we're gonna grab a clamp. This is an 11 millimeter clamp so I did switch over to an 11 millimeter socket because we are gonna tighten this down now. Just gonna get my clamp in place. So we're gonna make sure the AWE logo is pointed up at 12 o'clock. We'll slide our exhaust tip into place. All right. Now at this point we're gonna tighten our clamp down. So now all that's left to do is to tighten this clamp back here. I'm just gonna pull down a little bit because I want to bring my exhaust tip away from the bumper and that's pretty straight right there so I'm gonna tighten it down now. So at this point I'm gonna bring the pole jack back in and I'm gonna jack up this over axle pipe before I bring in my muffler assembly. So we're gonna do the same thing with this side. I have the axle pipe jacked up far enough, then I'm gonna take the rods right here and slide them into the hangers. So at this point I'm gonna lower down the pole jack so I can get the over axle pipe down a little bit more so I can go ahead and make the connection right here at the muffler. So at this point you may have to play with your exhaust in the hanger, if you need to push it in or pull it out further just so you can get these two seated. So I'm gonna tighten this clamp a little bit just to hold this seal here. I'm not gonna tighten it all the way because I need this to still be able to move and pivot. At this point we're just gonna get our last hanger into place before we get our exhaust tip on. So at this point we're ready for the other exhaust tip. So I'm gonna take the clamp, slide it into place then get the tip over the muffler. Make sure the AWE logo's pointed at 12 o'clock. So in order to get this exhaust tip straight I'm just gonna pull on it a little bit because I know it needs to come over more towards the center of the car. Then I'm gonna go ahead and tighten the 13 millimeter bolt right here. The last thing we have to do is get our support brace back up and bolt it into place. So we'll go ahead and push up on the support brace. So we're gonna start these by hand, just to make sure we don't cross-thread anything, and then we're back to the 15 millimeter to tighten them down. All right guys. That's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind that you can always check this axle-back out as well as a ton of other exhaust options right here at americanmuscle.com.
