Hey, guys, I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and this is my detailed review of the Borla ATAK Catback Exhaust System with Y-Pipe available for your 2015 and up EcoBoost Mustang. The ATAK from Borla is going to be for the EcoBoost owners out there who have some money to drop on a top-quality system from a name like Borla and want one of the loudest and most aggressive systems available for their turbo four-cylinder Mustang. I'm talking a ton of volume here, guys, a ton of turbo noise. Basically, if you want to be heard, this should be on your short list of systems to consider. Borla is and always has been a premium exhaust brand in the market and that certainly hasn't changed here with their S550 offerings. Now because of that, expect to pay premium top-dollar. Upwards of 1200 bucks to be exact with this system here. But keep in mind, guys, you are getting a superb build quality and materials. And one thing I really do enjoy about the Borla systems is the amount of options they give you. For instance, for the 2015 and up EcoBoost cars, you're getting the Borla Touring, which is going to be their milder of the three options. Right in the middle you're getting the Borla S-Type or Stinger. And then finally, we have the ATAK here which is by far and away their loudest and most aggressive system. But again, all three of those options are going to offer a little something different and should appeal to just about anyone. Now ATAK isn't just a cool name, guys. It actually stands for Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics, and it's Borla's fancy way of saying this thing is going to be loud, but it's not going to get sloppy or distorted the louder it gets. And as you guys heard earlier with the sound clip, this thing definitely delivers. In fact, expect a full five out of five on my one to five or one to wake-the-neighbors scale. Basically, if you're looking for a system that's going to keep things quiet on your EcoBoost, the ATAK is not for you.As I did mention earlier, guys, you are getting top quality here when dealing with the Borla, but you probably expect that when forking out over a thousand bucks for a system like this. Premium 304-grade stainless steel throughout, guys. The included Y-Pipe here. Two and a quarter inch mandrel-bent tubing. It's a little small for me; I would have preferred to see something a little bigger with a turbo car, but definitely not a deal-breaker. Of course, we have the patented ATAK series mufflers here from Borla, all exiting out the four-inch polished tips embossed with that Borla logo. All right guys, now when forking out top dollar for a system like the Borla here, of course, you expect that great quality, but you should also expect this thing to bolt up without any issues and the Borla definitely doesn't disappoint there. This thing practically put itself together on our EcoBoost, so expect a simple one-out-of-three wrench overall difficulty job here guys. Anyone should be able to knock this one out in the garage or driveway. Now getting that factory system down from your EcoBoost car, it's all one piece. It can be a little cumbersome. So an extra set of hands is not necessary, but it would certainly make life easier in this case. Either way for you, a few basic hand tools guys. A socket set, a few wrenches, maybe an hour or two again, in the shop or garage, and you should be able to get this thing in place in no time. All right guys, wrapping this one up. If you're after one of the loudest and most aggressive systems available for your EcoBoost-powered Mustang, then the ATAK from Borla should definitely be on the short-list of systems to consider for your ride and you can pick yours up right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
