Hey everybody. I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is my review of the Borla Stinger S-Type Catback exhaust system available for your Fastback 2015 and up Mustang GT, with your choice of either a black or polished tip. Now the Stinger or S-Type is one of a few different offerings from Borla available here at AM including the Ford Racing by Borla Sport, and touring catbacks, the Stinger S-Type here, and of course the louder ATAK system. One thing I really like about the S-Type here is that, yes it's going to give you the volume as we just heard with our sound clips, but it's going to have a slightly deeper tone compared to that ATAK system. The ATAK is going to be the loudest of the four. There's no getting around that, but it does have a little bit more of a higher pitch, or a little bit more of a rasp even though they both utilize the same X-pipe here. So if you're going for a little deeper tone, you might want to consider the S-Type. All that being said, again this thing is definitely going to deliver in the volume department. So for that reason it's an easy three out of five, maybe even a four out of five on our one to five, or one to wake the neighbors scale. Again if you're going for straight up volume, then you definitely want to consider the ATAK, or maybe even check out the Corsa Extreme.Going into the S-Type a little further guys, you are going to stumble across a few different options when ordering your system here at AM. Let's start with these tips. You can see we have the black option on the table with me here today, but you can also pick up the S-Type with a chrome or polish tip. In addition to that, the system is available in both a two and a half inch Mandrel bent system or a full three inch system. Now for most naturally aspirated daily drivers or street strip guys out there, the two and a half inch system is going to be just fine. However, once you start pushing big boost or big power, then you might want to consider picking up the full three inch system from Borla instead. In addition to that quality build, guys, you are getting a great fitting system, and that should definitely not go overlooked here at the Borla. This thing practically puts itself on the car. So for that we're going to give it an easy one out of three wrenches on our overall difficulty meter. Obviously all the work is under the car, so figure jacks, jack stands, or ramps if you got them, a lift if you're lucky, and then maybe an hour or two from start to finish before you're making noise with this thing. I do want to point out again this system I have with me here today is only going to fit your fastback GT, convertible guys will have to look for another system. In the end I really enjoy the S-Type from Borla. Sure it's a lot of dough, but it's going to give you a great sounding exhaust note that's well rounded without being overly raspy, and you're getting the quality that comes along with a name like Borla. So be sure to check out an S-Type for your S550 right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
