Get ready to turn heads
This will definitely turn heads at every stop and every turn. What I love about this is that I can control the sound with my foot. So when I'm trying to come home late at night without a sound, it definitely can be done. I always laugh when friends and family say how did you get here we didn't even hear you pull up "MAGIC". But this seriously boss status right here.Helpful (0)

Exactly what I wanted, was harder getting the old exhaust off then putting new on. Only thing I have left is long tube headers to make it perfectHelpful (6)

Started out with a Ford Performance Gt500 axle back with resonator delete, very noticeable change from stock but craved something a little more aggressive. Finally pulled the trigger and was better than I expected. At first I hesitated due to the price but ounce you hear your stang fire and take a cruise it is worth every penny, really separates the men from the boys.Helpful (6)

Best sounding exhuast on the coyote! Hearing it in person is amazing compared to a YouTube video. If you want a loud exhuast that actually has a good tone to it this is what you want! Not way to loud and can be kept quite at low rpms. Very difficult on jack stands but it is possible. Also take your time lining the mufflers up. That part was pretty hard.Helpful (7)

Great fit, great sound
This is my favorite exhaust, I have put it on all of the mustangs I have owned. It bolts on in place with no real major work needed to be done.Helpful (8)

Best of both worlds
Very impressed with the build quality and sound. This catback really barks when you get on the throttle yet is tame when cruising through town or at highway speeds. If you're looking for a relatively aggressive sounding exhaust with no drone, this is the one to get.Helpful (7)

This is my 3rd setup, first was flowmaster outlaws which was nice but loud all the time. 2nd setup was roush, which I enjoyed. I was looking for a certain sound and after many hours on you tube with headphones, this is it. Install wasn't too bad, took about 4 hours, would of been quicker if auto part stores would have had v clamps in stock. I used a saw saw to cut my over axel pipe 2 inches and used a piece of old pipe to form a sleeve so exhaust wouldn't stick out so far. My car is lowered 2 inches, no issues with clearance until I go down ramp at work then sleeve rubs but will fix that. Sounds awesome w x pipe but may change to h pipe later on for more of a growl sound. Exhaust is fairly mild at cruising speed but once you hit gas and rpm gets around 3-3500 it screams. When people ask what I have, hard to explain..Has that performance sound like you would hear on something exotic. Definitely recommend.Helpful (10)

Will this bolt right up to long tube headers
The Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust can be installed with Long Tube Headers but will require minor modification since the exhaust is originally manufactured to be used with the stock length headers.
My current system is a gt500 axle back with resonators delete, what am I to expect out of the borla s-type cat back?
The Borla S-type Catback also includes the X-pipe so it will replace your entire existing exhaust system up to the headers. Otherwise expect the typical Borla quality, fit & finish, and unique exhaust tone!
What is the sound and time difference from this set up and borla atak catback?
Generally, the Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust will be louder at idle then the Ataks but will be quieter when driving.
will this exhaust work with the pypes cat deletes?
The Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust will be able to be used with the cat delete pipes.
Will this exhaust Borla Stinger fit my 2012 Boss 302? Also is this exhaust too loud? I have taken the baffles off of my original exhaust system and I don't want the car any louder than it currently is.
Hi, This Borla catback will not fit on a 12 Boss, We do carry the Borla Stinger S-Type Item 29025 for the 12 Boss 302 when installing this X-Pipe/Cat-Back kit on a BOSS 302 Mustang, you'll loose the functionality of the factory Side Exhaust pipes, On a scale of 1-10 i'd say this is a 7.
The Borla S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust - Black Tips (13-14 GT, BOSS) will not work on 2011-2012 Mustang GT's as the kit is specific to the 2013-2014 GT's and Boss Mustangs. We do offer a similar kit that will work with the 2011-2012 GT Mustangs found here: Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust - Black Tips (11-12 GT) item #389997 (www.americanmuscle.com/borla-stinger-catback-black-1112gt.html).
If you are looking for a set of long tube headers that are going to bolt up directly to this cat-back system, the set of headers you will want to buy is the Borla XR-1 Long Tube Headers Item #29022 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/borla-lt-headers-1113gt.html)
The stock size is 2-3/4 on the cat-back and the mid-pipe does get slightly smaller to a 2-1/4 and the resonators are approximately 2-1/8 in diameter. While the Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust is the same size at the cat-back, and slightly larger in the mid-pipe area, the stock muffler and resonators are very restrictive. By slightly increasing the diameter and removing the restrictions, you will make some slight power, however the real key is that this exhaust will allow your Mustang to make more power without choking the system.
not necessarily , but to get optimum power out of the system a tune can be added
Horsepower gain would be minimal.. like 10 or less
