Understanding The A/C Pressure Transducer Valve. The A/C Pressure Transducer Valve is a critical component of your Challenger's A/C system, installing onto a high-pressure A/C line and monitoring the internal pressures of the A/C system. This valve, also known as an A/C pressure switch, sends a signal to your Challenger's TIPM (totally integrated power module), relaying information to the ECM to determine refrigerant pressure. This value is then used to adjust the A/C compressor clutch and engine cooling fan engagement to raise or lower pressure to the desired value, ensuring a safe and efficient A/C system.
