It was a difficult install, as I did the entire thing by myself without tools that would have made my life easier. But after all was said and done the exhausts sound absolutely badass. They’re pretty loud in comparison to stock (v6) and gives it a nice sporty tone, alongside and aggressive look.Helpful (3)

Set up is Borla long tubes, off road x pipe, stainless glass packs and gt500 conversion. Initially without glasspacks it was extremely raspy! Added glass packs and everyone swears it’s not a v6 with how clean it sounds cruising and at idle. With ghost cams it reminds me of my big block ford.Helpful (4)

Looks great and arrived fast
As of this review I have yet to install it, but I cannot wait! I’ll be able to post some videos of the sound with an O/R x pipe and Borla over axle tubes soon so people can get the gist of the sound. Overall the parts arrived undamaged and all the necessary hardware and ford instructions are there. Great for the price because you get the valence and axel backs everyone says they love the sound but theyre not my taste i like wake up the whole neighborhood loud like it was when i had it straight piped..im thinking about selling these and go with the borla ATAKS since i aleeady have their x and mid pipesHelpful (9)

I bought these exhausts for the look, sound and reliability. It hasnt let me down in any of those factors. Sounds great with my off road x pipe, long tube headers, and over axel pipe. Literally the perfect sound. Not crazy loud when im driving around town but when I get on it she screams! Definitely worth the price and looks amazingHelpful (12)

Meanest sound for a 5.0
Fantastic exhaust. I had the rear valance installed professionally, and swapped the mufflers. This is the meanest exhaust you can get for the 5.0, it keeps it deep and rumbly down low, and roars wide open. No drone too. If you pair this up with LTH over axle pipes and a JBA H-pipe you'll have an amazing sounding 5.0, I got compliments everywhere.Helpful (12)

Great Purchase For Sure.
The sound of the car from the manufacturer wasn't bad, but I knew it had to be enhanced. I didn't want to be obnoxiously loud, but the V8 needed justice, so I bought the GT500 exhaust and did it myself in my garage in about 5 hours. Before trading in my first car Betty, a black 2007 V6 stang, I knew the next car had to be a mustang. I ended up getting a 2013 5.0 and I fell in love all over again, I noticed the sound was pretty quiet even if you put the hammer down with the stock exhaust so I decided to look up different exhausts and this one had me from the start. The sound is incredible from idle to redline, and a quad exhaust looks amazing on the tail end. It is a perfect exhaust all around the board. I never waste time with reviews but this one deserves it. 2011-2012 V6 Fitment What exactly needs to be "modified" in order for these to fit a v6.
Bumper on 2013 is a little different So no unfortunately. And idk of exhaust piping is the same size
If I were to install this on my 2014 gt would it interfere with my reverse sensors on the bumper?
The Ford Performance Shelby GT500 Rear Valance and Exhaust Kit will not effect the mounting of the reverse sensors or their functionality.
Can anyone tell me the difference between this axle-back and the other Gt500 axle-back sound.
This axleback here is the factory axelback included on the Gt500 mustangs, whereas, the other GT500 ford performance axleback featured a single exit so it could be used on the normal GT's while having a similar sound.
Does this have 3 or 4 inch tips?

Fits the item above under the 2013 GT/CS without cutting the bumper? Do I have to cut the bumper of my 2013 GT/CS so that the GT 500 Rear Valance fits or does it fits without cutting the something??? The bumper of the GT/CS is split like the GT500 bumper. Thanks and regards, Carsten Bruns
No you don't have to cut anything. It clips in just like the CS diffuser.
This is intended to fit the existing OEM exhaust only.
Unfortunately this exhaust kit is not available for the 2010 Mustang GT. Only the 13-14 GT models.
The GT500 Exhaust will be a bit louder than your existing exhaust on the GT or V6 but will not be significantly louder. It adds a light addition of volume and tone to give it a bit more of that desired muscle car sound without having to be over-the-top loud.
13-14 V6 models have a different axle-back piping diameter when compared to a GT so extra modifications will need to be made to guarantee proper fitment.
Installation of other models quad tip exhausts might still require slight modification to either the Ford Performance Shelby GT500 Rear Valance & Exhaust Kit's included valance or your existing exhaust for proper fitment.
The Ford Performance Shelby GT500 Rear Valance & Exhaust Kit will not be available to separate at this time.
Due to differences in the size of the axle-back piping diameter, V6 models will require additional exhaust modifications.The flow tubes will need to be upgraded up flanged to properly fit this kit.We would suggest taking the The Ford Performance Shelby GT500 Rear Valance & Exhaust Kit to your local exhaust shop for custom exhaust shop for the modification.
On the v6 cars you will have to cut the rear bumper to install the rear valance, modifications will also need to be done to the exhaust to get the hangers aligned.
There is a difference between the axle-back diameter and the factory piping. You will need to modify the exhaust slightly to make them bolt up together properly.
