MBRP has been in the performance exhaust game for nearly 20 years, and when word of the new S550 Mustang dropped, these guys wasted no time getting started on some new exhaust systems. These systems have been built to perform by maximizing flow and minimizing exhaust temperatures. They're also specifically tuned to get the most optimal sound out of your new Mustang, which means that they can be civilized when you want them to be, and aggressive when you don't, and the results of this new design will not leave you disappointed.MBRP designed these H-Pipe and Catback combos to not only have that classic muscle car sound but to also be able to withstand anything that the road throws at them. They feature three-inch mandrel-bent tubing, and the aluminized steel version that we have installed in our 2015 today not only adds strength to the system, but it also protects against corrosion. The stainless steel version of this system is made from rugged T409 16-gauge stainless steel, which means it'll be able to withstand anything that you dare drive your S550 through. And the black tips are available for those of you looking for an aggressive look to match its aggressive sound. The race series mufflers in all systems are stamped with the classic MBRP logo. The stainless steel and aluminized options both feature four-and-a-half inch polished tips, while the black-tipped version features four-and-a-half-inch black powder-coated stainless steel tips. Since these systems are a direct bolt-on for the 2015 GT Mustang, you guys don't have to worry about having to make any modifications or doing any cutting or welding. They are a direct replacement for your factory exhaust, and getting everything installed should take you about two hours or less. Everything is even a direct fit to the OEM hangers, and you get all the clamps and parts you need in the box. Great exhaust for the money
Great sound. It’s loud so if you are looking for a little rumble this isn’t for you. If you want that old school rumble and want to listen to your exhaust more than the radio this is all you! I love it. Yes it done a at certain RPMs but I’ve taken it on a few trips now and as long as you find the sweet spot RPM wise it’s not much louder than the stock exhaust until you get on it. Sitting at idle it sounds great. For the price you can’t beat it. It was easy to install and the workmanship of the exhaust was better than what I expected for the price. This is the sound I wanted!
I was torn between the street and the race systems, and videos don't do this Justice. It took my about an hour to install, with the car on jackstands and an extra set of hands. Everything went together easily and it looks fantastic. Love the sound! Some people complain of drone, but I had a muffler delete before this and I barely notice any drone. Butt Dyno says I picked up some low end over the muffler delete, too. I think this is an amazing value at it's price point and highly recommend.Helpful (1)

MBRP Black Series Cat-Back /H-Pipe Race ver.
Not exactly happy with this exhaust, shipping, product arrival, contents of product, materials and system in it self arrived in outstanding condition. Install was super easy and all parts fit perfectly. As for the sound, I’m a bit disappointed, prior I was running an SR Performance X-Pipe. With that being said I did away with the resonator and both mufflers. Welded factory tips on to maintain a sleeper look. That setup was wicked loud, I turned heads left and right. Running the MBRP setup had a change in tone because of the H-Pipe configuration, but I didn’t think it would tone it down that much. MBRP sounds like my previous setup while wearing ear plugs. Overall, great product especially for those moving from stock to this initially. If your looking for a screamer, might not be exactly unlocking the potential that’s out there.Helpful (1)

Best sounding exhaust you can buy
I’ve have Corsa, flowmaster, pypes, magnaflow and gutted stock exhaust set ups, this MBRP fatback is by FAR the cleanest, deepest, most toned exhaust I’ve tried. And at below $500 this kit is a STEAL. Plus It only took an hour to install with an impact gun on jack stands. Go for the Race version, you will NOT be disappointed. The drone does exist in 6th gear at 70mph so if that’s a deal breaker just stick to stock exhaust you big baby. Pull the trigger, this is an incredible system.Helpful (3)

MBRP XP Race exhaust
This system was better than expected! It's a full 3 inch exhaust system all the way out the back everything bolted up using the stock hangers in perfect condition. Okay so I had access to a lift which helped because the installation only took about 20 minutes!Helpful (0)

Do yourself a favor and buy this exhaust!
I first purchased my S550 Mustang GT back in December and the very first modification I did to it was weld in a set of Borla Stingers. They sounded really good until I had my BBK catless long-tubes installed. My exhaust literally sounded so bad that I was embarrassed to drive my car. So after watching thousands of videos over and over again, I finally decided to pull the trigger on this exhaust set up. I have owned 13 different Mustangs in which all had aftermarket exhausts installed on them and this is by far the best sounding one I have ever owned. I am telling you, do yourself a favor and go ahead and buy this catback. I installed this system with 2 jacks and 4 jack stands with only a little help from my step dad in under an hour. I think installing the JLT intake took longer than installing this catback. Although, for it to come with an H-pipe, yes this system is still sorta raspy. But I like raspy; that is just me though. And the topic on drone.. yes, there is drone in 6th gear highway driving. But cruising right at 70 mph, the drone is completely gone. I was a little skeptical at first in buying this exhaust, but I am more than happy that I did!Helpful (0)

Great with one set back
I love the exhaust, it was really easy to install only took me and a buddy about 45min. Love the sound, and I don't mind the drone. Only issue I had was with the way the exhaust was packaged. By the time it got to my door step and I opened the box, both of the tips were scratched/chipped and one of the outlets off the muffler was bent/misshaped making it difficult to get one of the tips on. I also helped a buddy install the same exhaust on his mustang and noticed the same issued I had with mine. Other than that its a great product.Helpful (2)

Stainless H-Pipe cat-back MBRP
Hello I would like to start by saying thanks to MBRP and American Muscle. I absolutely love this exhaust system, I installed myself and let me say it is very easy it took a little over 2 hours to install and I was satisfied with how easy everything fits and bolts together, it looks very nice and sounds aggressive. I would definitely recommend this cat-back to anyone out there. I want to also add that I used two car Jacks to lower the factory cat-back (one in front and one in back) with plywood in between the jack and exhaust system, and the jack in the rear I used a long piece of plywood and I placed the jack in the middle of the two axle back mufflers and I placed the board across to lower the mufflers.Helpful (7)
Im confused why does the street sound louder then the race? some people think AM got the vidoes switched. can someone from AM clarify what one is what. I want the one that's in the video on the race model.

What’s the difference between the xp series and installer series?

How does this MBRP race catback compare to exhausts like the Borla ATAK catback or the Borla S-Type Catback in terms of noise/decibel level?
Sounds just as mean as the Flowmaster Outlaw cat back system. Very, very loud. True Mustang sound. The video does not compare to how mean it sounds. Everytime I ride in it I still can't believe how nice it sounds. It even sounds better outside the car.
Will stainless works ling tubes bolt up to these ?
The MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust is compatible with Stainless Works 1-7/8 in. Long Tube Headers with connection pipes designed for factory or factory style mufflers.
The only way to help reduce drone is to either replace the piece of the exhaust that is creating the drone, or add resistors to make the exhaust quieter elsewhere in the system.
The only difference between the race and the street series is the design of the muffler that each system runs.
As long as your headers step down to 2.5" then these will mount up without an adapter.
The MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust w/ H-Pipe - Race Version is considered an aggressive and loud exhaust but at this time we do not have an official decibel level available.
The cat-back exhausts will not require any cutting of the factory pipes.
Being the race version, the MBRP Black Series Cat-Back Exhaust will have some drone.
The Pro series will have a slightly deeper/more aggressive exhaust tone when compared to the XP series.
The Race Version MBRP Installer Series Cat-Back Exhaust will have significant drone.
This MBRP cat-back would not affect any emissions devices on your Mustang, so this would be CARB legal in California.
