    Street Or Track. The McLeod Street Extreme Clutch is perfect for aggressive street driving and occasional track use. Able to hold up to 700 horse power and 700 ft/lb of torque the Street Extreme Clutch kit is ideal for high horsepower Mustangs that need a good reliable clutch on the street and the track.

    Ceramic Disc. Featuring a dual-faced ceramic friction disc; this McLeod Street Extreme Clutch provides smooth engagement and awesome holding power making it the perfect performance upgrade for street and track use.

    SFI Certified. If you're using this clutch in a high performance or racing application, SFI Certification is critical so you can run your Pony at the track or strip. And it's great for peace of mind even in a daily driver.

    Application. This McLeod Street Extreme Clutch is designed for the Late 2001-2004 GT; 1999-2004 SVT Cobra; 2001 Bullitt; and 2003-2004 Mach 1 with the T-45, TR-3650, or T-56 transmission that have upgraded to a 26 spline input shaft.

        Will this clutch work on a stock tr-3650. Not sure im understanding the upgraded 16 spline deal. What is the regular input shaft spline

        • This kit would work with an upgraded 26 spline input shaft for the transmission. The stock trans has a 10 spline input shaft. You would need this same McLeod kit here:

        Should i use the throw out bearing that comes with this clutch, or use a ford racing throw out bearing?

        • Mcleod would recommend the installation of their throwout bearing as it is specifically designed for that clutch but any aftermarket throwout bearing will work as long as it meets the same specifications.

            A clutch that’s grabs and holds all my power

            Not the greatest instructions from McLeod, but if you’ve done one clutch, you’ve done them all. All in all, nice product

            Purchased this clutch almost a month or so ago. Was very excited and have heard so many great things about this product. I had a Spec clutch on it before and the clutch was making a weird noise that i was told was my clutch. I was told spec clutches tend to make some noises so i couldn’t take it anymore and purchased this McLeod. The install was complete and i folllwed every step of breaking in the new clutch. I did not go wide oppen throttle for over 1k miles. I thought everything was perfect. Gear changes and everything was great. I start my car up a few days ago and surprise surprise that noise is now back each time i engage this clutch. Mind you, i went open throttle twice since owning the clutch. So now i have to go back to the shop and possibly pay again for a new clutch i already purchased. This is very disappointing for a product that is highly spoken of. Questions my trust in AM going forward.

            Feels better than that factory stuff.

            Installed on a 04 cobra- held 550 hp just fine. Clutch was smooth and gripped with no issues. Paired with Mcleod flywheel, firewall adjuster and under dash quadrant.

            great feel but manufacture defect

            clutch feels great and solid, however the throw out bearing squeaking as soon as it was installed. got a new one ordered however that does not do much for the pulling of the trans and install labor for a $50 part

            Great so far

            I've had the clutch for roughly 500 miles (after the proper break in period) It's in a 650whp cobra. No problems, smooth, and lots of bite. No need for a twin disk. Hopefully it continues to perform at this level.
