This specialty iron compound contains a higher percentage of carbon to give the rotors their characteristic durability. Solid, Vented, and Floating Rotor Style. Apart from their rugged construction, these rotors combine a solid rotor face and a vented style with a floating design — all of which work harmoniously to improve performance. Specifically, the vented style ensures these rotors remain relatively cool, reducing brake fade. The floating rotor design likewise improves the rotors’ susceptibility to heat damage.
High-Quality Ceramic Brake Pads. The other elements to this kit are the included brake pads. These brake pads utilize a specialized ceramic-based compound that has a better "bite" when compared to stock. This ensures more immediate stopping power, so you can be confident in your braking performance.
Reduced Dust and Noise Design. Besides having better stopping power, the included brake pads in this kit noticeably produce less dust when compared to lesser pads. Convenient Install Procedure. This PowerStop front brake rotor and pad kit is designed to mount on your vehicle’s factory brake locations without the need for modifications. You will need a bottle or two of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid on hand, including a high-temperature brake pad lubricant. Apart from these items, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
