Performance Wastegate Solution. The Turbosmart Gen4 HyperGate45 External Wastegate; 14 PSI; Black is designed to regulate exhaust flow and control boost pressure in turbocharged engines. It is essential for maintaining intended boost levels safely while maximizing performance. Primarily suited for street applications running pump fuel or e85, it delivers reliability and effective boost control without motorsport-specific features.

Construction and Appearance. This external wastegate features a durable cast stainless steel body paired with an aluminum actuator housing, ensuring excellent heat resistance. The valve is a solid stainless steel piece, sealed with a proprietary high-temperature silicon Nomex diaphragm. The unit’s black anodized coating may discolor over time due to heat exposure but does not affect performance.

Installation. Installation involves securing the unit using included Gen4 V-band clamps and weld flanges, which typically requires moderate mechanical skill. No drilling is generally necessary. A locking collar tool is provided to safely change springs and adjust settings, enabling customization of boost pressure.

Application. This wastegate is designed for universal fitment to systems using 44/46mm peer flanges. While it fits a broad range of applications, some adaptation may be necessary to achieve proper fit and function in specific setups.
