Hi I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I have with me two very valuable live axle mods for your 2005 and newer Mustang. I’m referring to the whiteline performance adjustable panhard bar, and support brace, available separately here at AmericanMuscle.com. Anyone that drives a solid rear axle car like the Mustang should be well aware of the benefits of using an aftermarket panhard bar. If you don’t know, the panhard bar is designed t o prevent any side to side or lateral movement of the rear axle by bracing it to the chassis. Here lies one of the problems, the factory brace used to attach the panhard bar to the chassis is made from weak, light gauge stamped metal which can oftentimes bend or flex under load. That’s where this whiteline panhard bar support brace comes in. this brace from whiteline beefs up that weak spot by using heavy duty box steel construction, for superior strength. The brace is then finished off in a silver powder coat for increased durability. Moving away from the support brace and onto the actual panhard bar itself, we’re already somewhat familiar with this product having already used it on our 2011 bolt on build up V6, with great success. Whiteline went with a 4130 chromoly steel for the construction, which is going to be equal parts durable and rigid. Not only will this help keep the rear end in the optimal position but it’s also going to improve both your handling and your traction, this bar also features panhards non bonded elastomer bushings that offer a number of benefits. For one, this design helps prevent the bushing from getting bound up and then snapping back increasing your handling predictability. In addition, these bushings do not produce any noise and are zero maintenance, you’ll never have to grease them. Finally, this bar is fully adjustable while still on the car, so you can make your adjustments without having to uninstall the bar itself. Both the panhard bar itself and the support brace feature simple two bolt installs, so with that said the install itself really shouldn’t be all that bad, but you will need to crawl under the rear of the car just to get everything bolted up properly, just leave yourself about an hour per product. If you’re looking to improve the sub standard factory panhard setup on your 05 and newer Mustang, then you’ll want to check out this Whiteline panhard bar and brace, both available right here at AmericanMuscle.com
