Hey everybody, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com. This is my review of the Borla ATAK Cat-Back Exhaust System available for your Fastback 2015 and up Mustang GT. Borla is and always will be a premium exhaust company, and that certainly hasn't changed here with the 2015 and up Mustang systems. The one thing I really like about Borla is the amount of options they give you when choosing the right system for your ride. For instance, with the 2015 and up GTs, you have the Ford Racing by Borla sport and touring systems, you have the Borla S-type or Stingers, and finally, the Borla ATAKs which I have with me here today, all with their own little unique differences and sound characteristics. The ATAK isn't just a cool name. It actually stands for acoustically tuned applied kinetics. It's basically Borla's fancy way of saying that this thing's going to be loud but they're going to try to keep it from getting sloppy or distorted the louder it gets. As you guys just heard, this thing certainly is loud, and for that reason, it's an easy five out of five on the one to five or when to wake the neighbors scale. Only the Corsa Extreme might be a little louder, but it's really close. This thing certainly is going to deliver. With that being said, if you're after a quiet exhaust system for your 2015 GT, the ATAK is not going to be the system for you. Borla does give you a few options when grabbing the ATAK for your ride. For instance, you have the option of picking up a polished tip which is kind of a stock offering with the ATAK, or for a few bucks more, you can opt for a black tip. In addition to that, you can pick up the system in a two and a half inch mandrel bent offering here like we have on the table, or again, you can spring for a three inch diameter system. For most naturally aspirated daily drivers or street strip guys, the two and a half inch system is going to be the ticket. However, if you're considering big power through forced induction or otherwise, then you might want to consider going for that three inch system from Borla. The build on the Borla is completely top notch as you might expect when forking out top dollar for a premium Cat-Back System. This includes 304 grade stainless steel throughout, two and a half inch or three inch mandrel bent tubing like we just talked about. The X-pipe style crossover pipe here is definitely going to add to that aggressive tone working with those patented Borla ATAK series mufflers, all exiting out the four inch slash cut tips embossed with the Borla logo. Again, when you are forking out big money for a premium Cat-Back, you expect this thing to be built well and it is of course, but another expectation is that it's going to fit well. That's certainly the case here with the Borla ATAK. This thing practically put itself together on our 2015, and for that reason alone, it's an easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter getting this thing installed underneath your ride. Of course, obvious statement of the day, this thing is installed underneath the car, so make sure you have your jack and jack stands ready to go, race ramps, or a lift if you're one of the lucky ones. You should be making noise in about an hour or two from start to finish. Again, this is only going to fit your Fastback GT. It will not fit your convertible. Just make sure you're ordering the correct system for your ride. If you're on the hunt for quite possibly one of the most aggressive systems for your 2015 and up GT, the Borla ATAK should definitely be on your short list, and you can find yours right here at americanmuscle.com.
