These shorty headers combination of free-flowing plumbing and 2-1/2-inch OE style collectors encourage faster exhaust gas flow to maximize your engine’s combustion cycles. These factors combine to advance your ride’s horsepower and torque numbers, giving you the competitive edge come race day.
Audacious Exhaust Tone. These shorty headers will also transform your ride’s standard muscle car exhaust sound into a legitimate race car roar. In doing so, you get to provide your ride with a more commanding presence – even as you leave the competition in the dust.
Rugged Build Quality. These shorty headers start as 16-gauge 1-5/8-inch wide 409 stainless steel pipes, making them extremely tough as well as corrosion-resistant. These steel pipes are then CNC mandrel-bent to create a turbulence-free inner structure, ensuring maximum exhaust gas flow. These pipes are then expertly welded onto heavy-gauge flanges for optimum strength and a proper seal. Lastly, these headers come in a raw stainless steel finish that will develop a stunning patina over time.
CARB Certified Under CARB EO Number D-115-28. These Hooker Blackheart shorty headers are CARB-certified under EO number D-115-28, making them legal in all 50 states.
No Need to Re-Tune ECU. These shorty headers’ turbulence-free plumbing and wide collectors will provide your ride with their boosts in performance and do not require you to re-tune your ECU. However, it is still a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future as this will ensure your engine and the headers are completely working in sync.
