Magnaflow Race Series Muffler Delete axle-back
Like most of you, I have looked and read and listened. Finally, I decided on the Magnaflow RACE muffler delete axle-back. My 2007 GT500 was very quiet and I wanted it to sound like it looked and ran. My biggest concern, when looking for new exhaust, was I'd end up buying something, not loud enough. The systems with mufflers...just didn't sound good enough to me. Once I heard the Magnaflows with no mufflers....that was it. I bought them from AM and they were here in no time. The pipes and tips are stainless...welds are perfect and they fit and line up easily. Not being able to see mufflers hanging under the car in back...makes it look alot better. You can spend alot of time, trying to get the old mufflers out, irregardless of what you've read or heard. Or you can cut the old muffler's hanger rods. It is not easy to get them out of the rubber and and out, if you don't. And if you pull the hangers instead, you better have some tools and time. l found....once the old mufflers are out...you will be able to install the new pipes, much easier, if you disconnect the mid-pipe, forward of the axle and drop those pipes a few inches, so you have some play, to get the new pipes hanger rods into the rubbers and line it all up. Then...just tighten the mid-pipes back up and you got it. It sounds perfect idling...and gets louder as you throttle it, as expected, but a good sound. At 70-80mph...the stock tires, are louder than the exhaust inside the car and I have no drone to speak of. It is the perfect way to get the sound you want, clean the rear of the car up...seeing no hanging mufflers any longer and gaining some felt, horsepower. Let it breath! Buy these and smile.
