      True Dual Exhaust. Now you can easily convert your 4.0L V6 Pony to a true dual exhaust with the Pypes Mid-Muffler True Dual Exhaust Conversion Kit. This system includes the X-Pipe, Cat-Back, and Mufflers needed to give your Mustang an impressive throaty V8 sound and an increase in rear wheel horsepower.

      Mid Muffler Design. This Pypes True Dual Exhaust Kit features two high flow straight-through Pypes M-80 Bullet Style mufflers that are mounted directly after the Mid Pipe to produce an aggressive deep throaty muscle car tone of yesteryear.

      Reuses Stock Cats.
      The installation of the included Pypes V6 X-Pipe will require cutting the factory Y-pipe and reuses the stock catalytic converters saving you money.

      Quality Materials.
      Both the X-Pipe and Cat-Back are constructed from free flowing mandrel bent 2.5" diameter 409 stainless steel tubing and feature two Pypes M-80 Bullet straight-through mufflers for an aggressive throaty sound. The whole system is finished off with a set of 4" black powdercoated 304 stainless steel tips for modern Muscle Car styling.

      This Pypes Mid Muffler True Dual Exhaust Conversion Kit is designed to fit all 2005 to 2010 V6 Ford Mustangs equipped with the 4.0L V6 engine. Reuses the stock Catalytic Converters.

      Technical Note: This Pypes kit attaches after your factory catalytic converters to convert your single exhaust to a true dual exhaust from the cats back. Includes the template for cutting out the 2nd exhaust tip in the 05-10 V6 factory rear bumper.

        Waking my 4.0, and getting some real sound

        I have been working on my mustang for 10 months and now I am at the point of enjoying my mods and car. The Pypes Mid-Muffler true Dual Exhaust did not disappoint. I love the sound as well as the look.

        4 2008 V6 - JSBreeze916 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great Product, but Poor Fit

        Really loved the system, nice clean muscle sound and very attractive, and the black tips are an awesome accent. My only issue, which unfortunately is a pretty significant one, is that though it claims to be ready-to-go to fit onto your stock car body, the fittings are very different on each side with how they connect to your car. Each side sits very differently, my right being lower than my left, which causes some issues because it hangs low enough that it sometimes vibrates against the body while driving. Required additional modifications and messing around to get it to sit well enough. But aside from that, great product.

        Fantastic Sound

        The exhaust sounds really nice with a low tone and very minimal drone. Have had several people ask if it was a v8! Overall very happy however I had some trouble getting the drivers side to line up, but I took it to an exhaust shop and they fixed it for free. Overall exhaust looks really good, sounds amazing (with some nice popping between 2 and 3k rpm) and was worth the money.

        Sound Great, tight fit, poor instructions

        Installed today and they sound great. Not near as loud as I expected. Instructions suck to be honest. I suggest that you lay out system on the ground and go through all the parts and organize them before you start clamps too. Fit is really tight clearance of maybe 1/4” in places.

        Love it

        This new exhaust sounds incredible I love to hear it when I could start it. I think my neighbours hate me now but its all worth it. When you are parked and rev it around the 2,500 3,500 rmps you hear some popcorn cooking up. Love the sound and the look. Quality product. Highly rate it.

        1 2005 V6 - Justin Installation Time: Weekend

        Don’t waste your time

        Let me be the first to tell you, this does not bolt right up. A job that should’ve taken no longer than 4 hours ended up taking a day and a half because I had to bend the metal to get it to Fit right, not to mention there’s no holes for hangers on the driver side and it’s pretty much impossible to tap in a hole with the correct thread, so I just tack welded on a hanger. Don’t get me wrong it sounds Good and the black tips look nice but for a $630 exhaust system I’m disappointed in the sound because it’s not all that great despite all the hard work and time that goes in to installing this. Would definitely not purchase again, save yourself some time, money and a huge headache and get a custom exhaust system and let a shop do the whole thing. Overall extremely disappointed in the whole thing and probably the worst use of $630.

      Do i need a gt bumper or does it come with a template to cut the stock V6 bumper

      • This True Dual Exhaust does come with a template to cut the bumper for the second exhaust tip.

      Does this system create issue's passing the emissions/state inspections?

      • Cat-backs usually will not create any issues with emissions. However, due to new exhaust law in California, this may not be legal for use.

      Do I have to reuse the existing catalytic converters or can I skip that step?

      • This will reuse the factory cats yes.

      What kind of headers would work with this set up. I am looking to buy a set of long tube headers as well and am wondering if it would work with this setup.

      • The Pypes Mid-Muffler True Dual Exhaust - Black (05-10 V6) has an after-cat mid-pipe which could be used in conjunction with either long tube headers or shorty headers.
