      Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m breaking down Pypes’ Pype Bomb super system Cat-Back exhaust, fitting all 2005-2010 Mustang GTs. If you’re looking for quite possibly one of the most aggressive systems available for your 281, for a price that’s very reasonable, look no further than the Pype Bomb Super System. This Cat-Back is constructed using durable 409 grade stainless steel, and features mandrel bends throughout. This kit also utilizes two straight through design M80 Bullitt mufflers, that are mounted directly after the Mid Pipe, and it absolutely screams, thanks a large part to these massive 4” resonator tips. There isn’t a single baffle used anywhere on this entire system, so it’s going to give you that super aggressive tone we just mentioned, it’s also going to reduce a lot of back pressure which will make for some nice top end gains, with minimal effect on your low end torque. When it comes time for the install, leave yourself about two hours to get everything bolted up properly, using standard hand tools. Now let’s hear how the Pypes Pype Bomb Super System Cat-Back sounds compared to our factory exhaust.

      Description

Increase in Performance and Sound. Bolting on a Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust to a stock 2005 to 2010 GT or Bullitt will yield an instant 5 to 10 horsepower gain at the rear wheels. It features two of Pypes high flow M-80 Bullet Style Mufflers for the ultimate in unrestricted flow and power gains for a deeper throaty tone.

Aggressive Throaty Sound. The Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back features two high flow straight-through M-80 Bullet Mufflers that are mounted directly after the Mid Pipe, instead of after the axle, to produce an aggressive deep throaty muscle car tone with the help of the same stainless steel resonator tips that Pypes uses on their "Pype-Bomb" Axle-Back Exhaust kit.

Quality Materials. This Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust system is constructed from free flowing mandrel bent 2.5" 409 stainless steel tubing and features two Pypes M-80 Bullet straight-through mufflers for an aggressive throaty sound. The whole system is finished off with a set of 4" polished 304 stainless steel resonator tips for modern Muscle Car styling.

Application. The Pypes "Pype Bomb" Super System Cat-Back Exhaust kit is specifically designed to simply bolt-on to the existing stock H-Pipe of the 2005-2010 4.6L GT or Bullitt Mustang for more power and a louder more aggressive sound.

Technical Note. Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

        Really nice tone

Pypes sound really nice and add good tone with nice gurgles on downshifts! The pypes them self aren’t that loud in my opinion so I also got the bbk off road x-pipe to go along with it and it sounds amazing!!!! Also not that hard of a install it took me around a hour and a half. I have sound clips on my instagram with just the pypes and with the pypes and the off road x pipe! Check it out : 5.0_rtr_stang_

        Awesome Pypes

Wanted to increase some sound to my 2009 Gr. Very impressed. Sound it significant on cold start and the action just increases over 2000 rpm. I’ve seen significant increases in hp. Highly recommend!!! Love my Pypes! Jessica

        Pype’s are the BOMB!!!

Really woke up the sound on my 08’ GT, nice sound under acceleration but not too loud cruising down the road. Installation was relatively painless but I did have to do a little modification to get the fit just right. Overall very please!

5 2008 GT - BradleyR Installation Time: Full Day

        Pype Bomb

Everything fit well. The sound is powerful! Loud enough to feel good not so loud to upset the civilians. The Pype Bomb was part of a three way performance upgrade. This group also includes a cold air intake that came with a Bama Tuner. Fourty Six horsepower gain. Also installed a under drive pully

        DEEEEEEP!!!!!

I have to say this is one of the deepest and smoothest systems when paired with long tubes and a catted x. There is literally no rasp or drone which was unexpected but appreciated. I would expect it to get a bit louder once the bullet mufflers break in which we did bring forward a bit to get rid of the terrible stock ford band clamp behind the mid pipe. All in all, bravo Pypes. You've done it again....

        Third time is a charm

Third delivery and two months later I finally received the part I ordered. The install was easy and the sound is superb. Now that they are installed I really like the looks and how easy it was to get them on the car

        Best exhaust, period.

I was skeptical. I already had Pace Setter Long tubes, O/R H pipe to chambered flow masters. However, I had some cheap sounding crackle and wasn't impressed. I bought this system and I was flooooored with the difference. I kid you not. Drone is gone, compared to how loud it is WOT the cabin is perfect. If you are driving normal, no unwanted attention is received, it is perfect. I drive by police all the time without issue. Drove past a wreck today with an office right next to me. No issues. It just sounds GOOD. It is clean. No unwanted crackle. PERFECT people, perfect..

4 2006 GT - ChristianJ Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Mostly great

Love the sound, easy install. Only complaint would be that it doesnt include 4inch clamps to hook to the h-pipe. Kinda stupid to spend 500 bucks on new shiny exhaust and have to put an old rusty clamp on it just to hook up

4 2008 GT - TroyS Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great sound but fitment sucks

Process was a lot longer than expected due to not being able to get the right side exhaust out without dropping my driveshaft (didn't have a cutting tool..... hacksaw sucks). But after all that it sounds better than the stock exhaust. Quiet on idle loud enough not to annoy anyone on takeoff. To address the true fitment problem though, the right side over axle lays on my axle so I get a little rattle every now and again. Trying to figure that out but other than that it is a good system.

      5 Top Rated Questions

I'm going to be installing this with JBA longtube headers and shorty h pipe with high-flow cats. (Currently I have stock exhaust with Pypes muffler delete axle back) Is this going to be much louder? Do the M80 mufflers reduce sound enough to equal out any increase from the headers and high flow cats?

      • The Pypes Pype-Bomb Super System Cat-Back Exhaust will give an exhaust note that is slightly louder than your current setup when paired with long tubes and a catted X pipe. The M80 Mufflers will help to reduce and deepen the tone of the exhaust.

How is the interior drone with this system? I like a loud exhaust, but I would like to cut the drone down as much as possible.

      • The Pypes pype bomb will have some drone to it. However each person will hear the drone differently and will react to it differently. If you are looking for a loud exhaust with no drone, Corsa will be one of the only exhausts to offer no drone and be loud! https://www.americanmuscle.com/corsa-xtreme-axleback-0510gt.html
