A SPEC Stage 2 Clutch can handle up to 630 ft-lbs of torque without the "on-off" feel of true race clutches, making it a perfect choice for moderately modified street and strip Mustangs.

      Perfect for Weekend Warriors. The SPEC Stage 2 Clutches are designed for all mild to moderately modified naturally aspirated and power adder engines, but can be used with stock power levels without sacrificing drivability or excessive wear characteristics. It's the perfect balance of drivability and durability that makes this clutch a great choice for Mustangs that see a lot of time on the street as well as the strip and track.

      Premium Quality. The SPEC Stage 2 Clutch combines superior holding power with the drivability you want by using premium materials. Each Stage 2 Clutch includes a high clamp pressure plate, pure Kevlar friction material and high torque sprung hub and disc assembly.

      It's recommended that you add an SR Performance Braided Stainless Steel Hydraulic Clutch Line during your new clutch install. Stock plastic clutch lines can fail during aggressive driving. Stainless steel clutch lines help prevent gear lockout and provide superior clutch pedal feel, even under the toughest conditions.

      Technical Note. It's recommended to install a new SPEC flywheel with this replacement clutch for the 2011-2014 Mustang GT. Please view our flywheel page for steel and aluminum flywheel replacements.

        5 2013 GT - lordjucifer Installation Time: Shop Install Installation Cost: $250-$500

        money's worth !!

        !!!!Break in is needed!!!! but after break in of 1,500 miles I took my 13 GT to the track also to mention my GT is lightly modded with KandN air intake, flow master axle backs, and a custom x pipe. the stock clutch I ran lasted about 3 weeks of being on the track "aka" strip. after it poo'd on me. I instantly bought the spec clutch with a new Exedy hydraulic slave cylinder and the combination of the 2 was not only needed, but improved my cars engagements when shifting. their is a light engagement noise in 1st and 2nd, but gt's are normally loud enough to drain out the sound. The only thing I can say is to be careful with engagements, spec is known for instant shifts, allowing quicker response, but if your running stock MT-82 trans you might want to be gentle with each engagement. Fords stock trans can be some what fragile if you miss treat her meaning instant engagements aren't always a good thing. but all in all great product I would recommend to any light modded B/O GT out there. please to all you Stangies out there be safe!!!! were not all bad drivers :{ )

        5 2012 GT - LavaRedStang Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great for performance driving

        This clutch is very grabby once you're in the friction zone. A little difficult to get used to for street driving compared to stock, starting off from stop and shifting smoothly in lower gears can be a challenge but it's not terrible compared to stage 3 clutches. Definitely great for racing and aggressive power delivery. Had the clutch for a few months and a few thousand miles and had no issues so far.

        Great clutch would recommend some one to buy it

        This spec Stage 2 Clutch is great it grabs like crazy and when you are in the Break in period it is kinda hard to get off the line smooth just because it just wants to grab and go so bad it took me about a 1000 miles to break it in all the way I did the mecloud clutch line with it and oem slave cylinder and ford racing pilot bearing I will tell you what this thing feels like the stock clutch when it comes to stock feel and it just wants to grab so hard compared to the stock clutch you can not beat this clutch for the money .. now the only bad I have to say about this clutch after driving with it for about a months now is they don’t give you the torque specs . And this thing is super noisy it chatters like crazy I was trying to avoid the noice that’s why I didn’t go with a twin Disc but if I would have known it would be this loud I woulda just went with a twin disc other then that and if you can deal with the noise then you have found your self a great product .

        Had some fit problems just minor, Seams to work good better than stock. Just a little more noisy. Some of which is coming from t/o bearing.

        clutch assembly installation

        Now this was done at a shop but never the less i did notice a huge difference compared to stock. This def bites harder off the line. It literally launches me forward but the actually clutch leg work still feels simular to stock. Since my car is a daily any higher stage wouldbe very heavy on the leg but not this one! Very satisfied. Shop charged for 7-8 hours probably took 2

        Nice grip while still drivable

        I'm still currently in the break-in period for this clutch but am pretty happy with the results so far. It seems like it grips a little bit better and the shifting really doesn't seem much more difficult in any way. Overall very happy

        5 2011 GT - 20ROUSH11 Installation Time: Afternoon


        This is a GREAAAT Replacement for the stock OEM Clutch! Grips really well, a little stiffer than stock but it feels solid. You lose about an inch in clutch pedal play. I would highly recommend this clutch to anyone and everyone. Plus ordering from American Muscle, NO SHIPPING! Great fit, great performance. I would definitely go with the Spec Steel Flywheel also!

      Hello, will this clutch fit on my 2011 model 5.0 Coyote GT/CS (equiped with Phase 3 Roush Supercharger (675RWHP)) produced in August 2010? Somewhere got Info, that there might be difference between those produced before March 2011 and after... Or would you recommend something else? Thanks in advance for your advice, Radek
