    Review & Install Video

I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and this is our detailed breakdown of the Pypes Black Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust for the 2005-2010 Mustang GT. The Pype-Bomb is a true muffler-delete system, which is really going to free up that exhaust flow, all while helping you achieve one of the most aggressive tones you can get while using an axle-back system. I know this looks like a straight pipe, and it pretty much is to a certain extent. However, these massive 4 inch tips have been engineered and resonated, which reduces that popping sound often heard with other muffler-deleting kits. The Pype-Bomb is constructed from durable 100% stainless steel and then finished off in a sleek and stealthy black powder-coated finish for a very unique look. Getting the Pype-Bomb installed on your ride is very easy and should take you about an hour. Now let’s hear how Pypes Black Pype-Bomb Axle-back sounds compared to our factory exhaust.

Aggressive Sound. The Pypes "Pype-Bomb" Axle-Back with its Muffler Delete design provides the most aggressive sound and free flowing exhaust possible with the stock cats in place to produce more power that you can feel and hear.

Resonator Tips. The engineers at Pypes designed their new muffler delete exhaust system with specially engineered tips which include resonators to eliminate that loud annoying popping noise that other muffler delete kits can cause.

Quality Materials. Constructed from free flowing mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel, this Pypes "Pype-Bomb" axle-back exhaust features a pair of 4" resonator tips completed in a black powdercoated finish for aggressive good looks.

Application. This Black Pype-Bomb Axle-Back exhaust system is designed to fit the the 2005 to 2010 GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500 Mustangs for aggressive good looks and impressive sound. This axle-back is made to be a direct bolt on to the stock location without any modifications required.

Technical Note: Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

I have a 2009 Mustang GT and was wondering if I buy the Pypes Black Pype-bomb axle-back exhaust will it fit my current exhaust. I think it will but im just double checking. Thanks.

    Woody

    • The Pypes Black Pype-Bomb Axle-Back Exhaust is designed to bolt up to OEM Over axle pipes, or over axle pipes designed to fit the OEM Axleback. So long as this is what you currently have, you should not have any issues with fitment.

Hi American Muscle! I have the Pypes Violator for a few years on a supercharged 08 Bullitt with long tube headers. (Sounds like Thunder! Sounds amazing) But need to replace them due to the brackets falling apart. Was thinking to buy the Pypes Violator again in black, or switch to the Black Pype-Bomb. I'm definitely not looking for louder! But really like the sleek look of the those Pype-Bomb. Any idea or advice from your side? Thank You. Ludo

    • In comparison, the pypes pype bomb axle back exhaust is going to similar loudness wise to the pypes violator exhaust, so as far as tone of the exhaust goes, its more of a person preference and it would be recommended to compare the exhaust notes using the videos we include on the website.

How well would this sound on a V6 with a conversion kit?

    Loyalwolf

    • I have these on my 08 and they sound great. I replaced the mufflers that come with the Frod Racing conversion kit. They're not annoyingly loud, just sound deeper and better. Add a Larger throttle body and people think you have a V-8.

      Mustang 4.0L

Firstly, hats off to AM for the quick shipping! For the Pypes Pype Bombs, these made my V6 sound great! I had the stock exhaust replaced with a custom H-pipe with dual exits and these muffler deletes at the end. The sound is deep and not too raspy. They are pretty loud, but not too loud. If you are looking to man-up your 4.0L, then these muffler deletes are a great choice.

      Excellent product!

Easy straight forward install! Looks great, sounds great! Thought it was going to be really loud and raspy but was surprised by the deep sound that's just right. The black powder coat looks great too on my all black Shelby GT mustang!

      Great sound

I was skeptical about getting this exhaust at first because I wanted something that sounded good while not being loud enough to wake the neighbors. I don’t regret my choice at all, the black finish looks amazing and sounds great too. It’s not too loud just cruising at low RPM’s, above 3.5K it really starts to roar, but it’s not obnoxiously loud. There was a little drone for a little bit but after they broke in there was no drone. This it by far the best sounding axel back I’ve ever heard.

      First mod excellent!

Couldn’t be happier, all the reviews were right on target, these pypes, can be suttle if you’re trying not to disturb your neighbors at 04:30 in the morning, but if you want just throttle it up, somewhere between “yeah that sounds good, to wide open throttle” will definitely put a smile on your face. Overall good quality product, Thanks,AM!

      Sweet sound

Love the pype-bombs. Have soft top and not loud with the top down. There is a little droan between 18 and 2200 rpms. Shift down and it goes away and the sound is better .

      Way to loud!

These are listed as moderately loud but are hardly different than no mufflers at all. A lot of money to waste on a bad description.

Amazing paint really keeps this thing pretty darn tough, minus scratching during installation. These things sounds loud and mean on a straight pipe set up.

      Low Down Dirty sound!!!!

Just had the Pype Bombs installed on my 06 GT. Had Flowmaster Super 44's on it for last 8 years or so and had always loved the sound of them. Started looking for muffler deletes and after listening to many sound clips and meeting a guy with a 15 Mustang GT who had Pype Bombs on his decided to purchase these. Had them professionally installed (which I'm glad I did due to fitment). Was anxious when mechanic started my car afraid of them being obnoxiously loud but OMG, the sound is Awesome. Haven't turned my radio on in days just cause I love the sound of the exhaust. Much deeper, throaty sound that is the Bomb! (Pun intended) Will never regret buying these and wish I had done it years ago. Just a dirty tone to them! Already had an x-pipe and CAI on car with a Diablosport tune and a few Xtra performance goodies. Don't wait, order these. You Will Not regret it.

      Great sound!

I had flowmaster american thunders on my car and the constant loud drone was unbearable. The pype bombs are great! Very deep v8 goodness all the time, although it's not a quiet system while cruising, after a few hundred miles there is NO DRONE. I still have stock manifolds/midpipe so once i have long tubes and offroad h, they'd get pretty loud I'd imagine. But if you just want aggressive sound, save the $ and get these over flowmasters, can't speak for other brands.
