This system is designed to replace your Challenger’s rather restrictive air intake and filter system for better performance. Not only will this cold air intake boost horsepower and torque, you’ll also experience a significant improvement in fuel economy.
Doesn’t Require Tuning. This cold air intake system doesn’t require any reprogramming before you experience its performance benefits, since it’s designed to work with the OEM computer system. However, it’s highly recommended to perform a custom tune to reprogram your Challenger’s ECU to get the best results. A custom tune is also recommended for cars that have other modifications apart from this cold air intake.
Carbon Fiber Air Filter. This K&N Series 63 Cold Air Intake features a carbon-fiber-topped high-flow air filter, as well as a heat shield that replaces the factory air box. This combination allows a bigger volume of cooler, denser air to flow through the custom-molded high-density polyethylene tube and into the throttle body. The result is a guaranteed boost in performance, especially in terms of usable power, power gain, and acceleration.
Free-Flowing Polyethylene Tube. Apart from the oversized carbon fiber filter, another key component of this cold air intake is the precision-designed tube made from high-density polyethylene. This tube makes it easier for the air to flow more freely and also reduces the air intake temperature, which means you’ll get more usable power.
